Hey all~~
This is a haul post. I bought some new skincare items for new the new years. Mostly gentle skincare items for sensitive skin. and they are mostly organic things.

First of all I bought two items from Pai skincare, it is a British brand. certified organics every thing pure organic and natural no artificial colours, fragrance and parabens. That's why if you purchased the item you have to use it with in one year. No preservatives. try to keep them at a cool place away from the sun.

The two items I bought are:
- Soothing & strengthening for very reactive skin moisturiser ( chamomile and rosehip ) for sensitive skin
- Rosehip bioregenate fruit and seed oil blend

This is what it looks like out of the package. The oil is a bright orange colour gets absorbed surprisingly fast!! definitely top quality. I've only tried it a couple times so not exactly sure to do a review yet.

I also bought other items:
- ASAP soothing gel (aloe vera, Sage and green tea ) ideal for oily skin
- A'kin pure emergency gel (for sun burnt skin) contains aloe vera
- Alpha-H soothing & calming mask
- Alpha-H balancing cleanser (contains aloe vera)

Here's what the item looks like.

the bottom white blob is the Alpha-H balancing cleanser

I know I bought a quite few items that has rose hip, chamomile and aloe vera. These three ingredients are known to restore, heal and calm down sensitive skin. I don't want to put harsh chemicals and things like that to aggravate my sensitive skin. I know there are alot of expensive skincares out there big brands, but that doesn't necessarily mean they will be good for you. I tend to look for things that doesn't contain alcohol, parabens and any thing that might cause allergic reactions.

Hey all ~~~
This post is about the best of 2011 skincare products.

there was a while where my skin was so sensitive and itchy and allergic to lots of different products. The reason is that you need to stick to your skincare regime because if you keep switching products, your skin isn't getting use to so it tends to get more sensitive. Also if products have fragrance and parabens it's more likely to make your skin reactive and sensitive.

So I think i'm going to stick one skincare regime. if you find products that works great for you. stick to it. so your skin will get use to it and even if you want to try new products. may be bring in one at a time don't change the whole skincare range at once.

SANA Nameraka foaming wash
I've been using this facewash for a long time. I have combination/some times oily skin this face wash is great leaves a clean clean fresh feel.

Clarisonic Mia
honestly best buy of 2011. Helps to get rid of dead skin and which decreases the formation of black heads and less chance of blocked pores and pimples. I have a review on this. so check it out. Here

Olay moisturising lotion ( sensitive skin)
Really good for sensitive skin. gives good moisture not too oily, not too heavy. staple.

Naruko Raw Job's Tear whitening serum
fast absorbed. i don't see any whitening, though i can see my acne scars lightning up.does make my face look radiant and brightened when i wake up in the morning.

Naruko Raw Job's Tear Night Gelly/ Niaouli & Tea Tree Night Gelly
I alternate between these two night gelly, if i feel like pimples or sth is coming up. I use the tea tree one. If not I usually use the Raw Job's Tears gelly. keeps all the moisture in while you sleep.

Shiseido Extra smooth sun protection cream for face SPF36PA+++
The best sunscreen for face. It gets absorbed, it doesn't leave white oily, yuky residue. it is water resistant so perfect for the beach. just make sure you wash it off properly at night.

Hey all
Wish every one a very merry Christmas and happy new year.!!!

Thank you every one for the kind words and support through out the year.. very much appreciated. Pretty much that's what keeps me posting on my blog. to be honest there was a couple times where I wanted to stop writing because there's just not enough time to do reviews and things.

Hey all~~~~

I'm soooooo EXCITED!!! because I just received my first Glossy BOX!!!!!!!!!!!!!! well this is the Australian Version. I love the idea of receiving 5 samples every months to test and the fact that you don't know what you will receive. The brands that they have in Glossy box are quite Australia I would have to say. but never the less they still offer great samples and products for you to try at the comfort of your own home.

The subscription is AUD$14.95 per month and that includes the postage and handling. I think it is value for money. can't complain about that. the company provides tracking when the boxes are shipped out. It comes in this pretty box shown below and when you open it there's another dusty rosey pink coloured box which contains all the products they offer for the months.

Here's what it looks like when opened inside.

The packaging is amazing, with a cute ribbon and information card to tell you about the products and what they do. The products are wrapped in black butcher paper and stuffed with black shredded paper. looks really classy and elegant.

When opened, the products lie in the box nicely. and they included a candy cane for the spirit of Christmas.!! thank you.. I love lollies.

[] Golden Bronze Skin for Summer ~~[]

Hey all ~~~
I want to do a post on some of the bronzers that the beauty community. Alot of girls have recommended these bronzers on blogs and youtubes. So I'm going to do a comparison between them and some of my thoughts on each of them.

Here are the bronzers:

- Rimmel Natural Bronzer in 022
- NYC matte bronzer in sunny
- NARS Laguna
- ELF Golden Bronzer

Lets see some swatches first:

Left to Right:
- Top left colour of ELF golden bronzer (shimmer)
- Bottom right colour of ELF golden Bronzer (shimmer)
- Nars Laguna (satin)
- NYC Sunny (matte)
- Rimmel 022 Sun bronze

Another Swatch in the same order.
My skin tone is between NC20-25. Neutral Asian skintone. I think MAC's NC foundations are way too yellow.

Rimmel Natural Bronzer in 022 sun bronze

it is a shear bronzer with a more reddy undertone with slight shimmer but once applied there aren't really any shimmer. Because it is shear it is great for makeup beginners, even without a light hand you can't really go wrong. It can be used as a contour colour. I might not use it as an all over colour as it is a bit red, might look a bit muddy.

NYC Bronzer in Sunny

it is a matte bronzer no shimmers what so ever. The main ingredient is TALC, might block pores for some people but seems to be ok for me. Lasted on my for the whole day. It can be used all over the face and as contour, it isn't really pigmented but not as shear as the Rimmel's one. the colour can be built so girls with medium skintone can still use this just need a heavy hand or build the colour a bit more to be visible.

Nars Laguna

The famous Nars bronzer, a staple for many. I bought this after a lot of reviews recommended by alot of gurus and beauty bloggers. It has a satin finish. when applied all over the face and neck it gives a really nice glow like you just had a natural sun tanning session out at the beach. I use this nearly every day for contouring and all over the face as summer is approaching. it is a true brown, no red or orange tones. Recommended for girls with light/light-medium or may be even medium skin tones. For girl with darker skin tones might have to go for Casino.

ELF Golden Bronzer

This is a really really shimmery bronzer. if you light shimmer that bronzy gold shimmer look. then this is for you. It is very nice on the cheek and the bottom left colour is a great high lighter. but besides that the other colours are just way too much shimmer. if it is used instead of a blush. it does look pretty.

So all in all .

I wanted to review this line of Naruko products as I think it is worth recommending it to every one with sensitive skin. I bought all my products from www.naruko.com.tw

It helps to brighten and sooth the skin, also contains anti-aging and repairing properties. This range is designed to prevent skin's discoloration and blocks the creation of pigmentation happening.

I ordered the following two items:
- Naruko Apple Seed and Tranexamic Acid Soothing White Hydra Essence 150 mL (toner)
- Naruko Apple Seed and Tranexamic Acid Soothing White Hydra Milk 120 mL (lotion)

Here's the list of Ingredients used: (LEFT = the lotion) ( Right = toner)

This is how the toner looks like, clear not viscous or thick.

This is what it looks like spread out, absorbed quickly adds moisture to the skin without feeling heavy.

This is what the lotion looks like.. white liquid. a bit thicker. but still easily spread and easily absorbed.

This is what it looks like after spread out.

Skin type:
I have combination /oily skin in summer but in Winter I am more combination dry. I don't lack oil but lack water and moisture. I also have quite sensitive skin, if I use some skincare and it's too heavy or something, my skin will react and have small small bumps all over especially on the forehead.

Thought about this range:

After using this range, I find my self have a brighter more radiant skin. No oiliness or residues when I wake up in the morning. seems to lighten my acne scars. no break outs, no little bumps. It is spring/summer weather so it seems to hold up pretty well on my combination skin. My skin is more balanced, does not promote extra oiliness but doesn't leave it dry either. It claims to help and immune sensitive skin so it doesn't act up .

This range comes in a plastic bottle so it's travel friendly, nothing happens when I dropped it once.
the bottle shows manufacturing date so you know when it will expired.. (2 years later).

No funny smell, no paraben preservatives. so quite natural and suited for sensitive skin.

The price is fantastic, doesn't break my wallet. but the products are high quality does what it claims to do. they do not test on animals.

I highly recommend this range of products. It is also available on the NARUKO US website.

Finally, The box they come in is recyclable or can be made into little boxes for storage and other purposes. Quite cute.

Been busy busy busy this year and felt like it's gone by so fast. alot of montly favourites video has uploaded onto youtube.

So I Figured that I will do mine too.

Australia is getting hotter and hotter every day as summer approaches. so here are my favourites of the month.

Makeup items:

been using this item every day pretty much, because it's so easy you don't have to think about it when you are in a rush in the morning.

- Urban Decay Primer Potion
wow.. so creamy.. more creamy than the TOO FACED shadow primer... just love it.

- NARS Laguna Bronzer/ Rimmel Shimmer Bronze in 022
Addicted to bronzers for some reason, just want that bronzed healthy glow look !!!.
but some times i'm scared to over do the bronzer..as my body /neck isn't tanned yet.

- PERFECT FOUNDATION MIX
I've been mixing these two foundation. half half each.
Estee Lauder Double Wear Light intensity 01
Bourjois Healthy Mix in 53
This month I've been mixing these two foundations, 1 to 1 mixture. gives me the perfect foundation I think. Long lasting from ELDWL... and the Dewiness from Healthy Mix... just WOW.
you guys definitely should try this mixture.

- NARS Luster
combined with the bronzer just gives the most gorgeous glow on the cheek, look so healthy.. LOVE.. great for summer !!! and also great paired with a golden/brown eye look.

Skincare Items:

- Naruko Raw Job's Whitenings Tears Whitening Gelly
been using this every night.. just lovely..

- Naruko Raw Job's Whitenings Tears Whitening Serum
nice serum not sticky. absorbs quickly.. makes my skin supple when i wake up next morning. as for whitening effect.. don't see any yet.. though it does lighten my acne scars and pigmentations.

- Naruko Facial Whitening Illuminating Cotton Pad
gets rid of dead skin cells yet gentle enough to be used day and night.. just a really good buy. highly highly recommended!!

Hey all ~~~.

Finally decided to get the Infamous Urban Decay Naked Pallet... A bit late to jump into the hype revolving around this pallett.. Not to mention that URBAN DECAY is releasing Naked 2 Pallet soon.~~~ Saw some pictures and swatches on Temptalia website. I'm glad I bought this one.. the colours for Naked 2 don't really appeal to me.

That's because there are just too many people selling fakes on the internet.. hard to find a honest seller as it is not available in Australia.

It comes with a eyeshadow brush instead of the double ended eyeliner. as well as a travel size UDPP.
This is what the back looks like.

The packaging is a velvet brown with gold letters..

What the pallet looks like once you open it. contains some shimmer/matte/ satin colours.
ranges from pale white shimmer to dark black colour for evening.

The travel size UDPP is quite cute. can just throw it in your purse.
Here's the swatches. applied on top of UDPP.

Virgin, Sin, Naked, Sidecar, Buck, Half Baked, Smog, Dark Horse, Toasted, Hustle, Creep and Gun metal.

[] Proenza Scouler PS1 ~~REPLICA[]

Hey all ~~~
I've been looking into buying a new bag that I can use for every day purposes. big enough to fit every thing I need. including folders may be If some times I need to bring work home. also easy to use, that is having compartments for me to organise my things.

I love my long champ bag. but... I can't find any thing in there just one big mess and you standing in front of your door tossing through your bag trying to find your house keys..

I've been looking around.. and Spotted Mulberry Alexa bag or Proenza Schoulder Ps1.. was tossing between these two for the longest time. Decided I prefer the PS1 as it has for details in the front and some how to me it looks more feminine.

Mulberry ALexa is still a really nice bag, but I just think it's not for me..

So I decided to get the PS1, but so many different colours.. and what to choose from?? ARGH>>~~~ was driving me crazy.. I saw some pictures was tossing between midnight blue or Suede Tan colour? I ended up with the dark blue colour because Suede is so beautiful but OMG so hard to take care of it and clean it, gets dirty so easily.

ok Real Proenza Schouler is $1595.... I don't think I can afford to spend that money on a new bag. So of course looked up online for a replica.

And I think it's a colour you can use all year round. Doesn't particularly have a season feel to it.

been using very steady skincare routine products.

Decided to try the new Naruko skincare range. The red job tears range is used for whitening and brightening of the skin. It uses supercritcal CO2 extraction technology to extract the essence from the Job's Tears. It promises to whiten and decelerate aging. while create younger skin that is white and healthy. It uses combination of ingredients like Tranexamic Acid, Vitamin C derivatives, and Arbutin which blocks Melanin products and diminish dark spots and impeding aging.

Australia's Sun's just crazy.. get sun burnt super easily. So lots and lots of sunscreen and lots and lots of whitening products. or else going to be sooo TANNED.. and will take AGES to go back to normal skin colour.

A bit of tan is good but I don't want to go too dark.

Hey all ~~
how's every thing? just wanted to share with you this awesome foundation brush. I got this on Adam Beauty website. Think they are restocking now.. but it is an awesome foundation brush.

what it looks like.
This brush is round shaped with really dense bristles. Slanted cut on the top. it feels SOOO SOFT...
It is used for buffing in foundations no matter if it's powder or liquid.

This is a size comparison. On the left is Mac 187, and right is Shiseido 131.
because of it's perfect size. it's so easy to buff around the under eye area, around the sides of the nose. edge of the lips. just convenient. only thing is, it might be a bit hard to blend thick foundations. and a bit difficult to clean as the bristles are sooo dense.

Highly recommended. !!!

I haven't been blogging for this months. Been busy lately, but I do have a few posts piled up which I want to share with you guys.

Sorry for the wait...

So the first thing that I'm so excited to share with you guys is the Clarisonic Mia.

I saw alot of reviews and rave about this product. This product is pretty much a face cleaner. Removes makeup and dead skin which normal wash clothes can not remove. Helps with blocked up pores and black heads.

The clarisonic website says:

I purchased mine from Ebay, because Australia doesn't have the Mia. and the other Clarisonic cleansers cost like AUD $347.. which is insane.

This is what the package looks like.
It comes with:
- Charger
- Clarisonoic Mia
- Sensitive brush head
- Hydro cleanser gel
- Instruction brochure

I got mine in blue.. It says that the Clarisonic Mia can be taken into shower because it is water proof, but does not suggest emerging in water.

The brush head comes off so you can change it when it's old ( 4-6 months) or you can change to other types of brush head depends on your skin type.

This is what the Charger looks like. In australia you need to have an adapter for it to work. and it takes 18 hours to fully charge the Mia and can use 20 minutes.

Initial Review:
Usage:
easy to use, not heavy. the brush head comes off so you can dry it after every use so Bacteria doesn't grow on it. travel friendly, only thing is the charger.. need an adapter besides that every thing else is fine. The Mia comes in one speed. so just on and off button. turns off by it self after 1 minute.

Effectiveness:

Mia turns off in 1 minute by it self. It suggest you spend may be 10-20 seconds on each section of the face, forehead, nose, cheeks, chin. but you can always turn it back on if you want more cleaning. I started using it at night only. I don't use it twice a day, I think it's too much exfoliating. give my skin some time to heal. The reason why I use it at night is after I use my make up remover to get rid of most foundations, I use my Sana foaming cleanser with Mia to clean my face for 1 minute.

Gives instant smooth skin, my skin feels so clean after 1 use. makes my skincare products absorb better and faster. I have been using it for about 3 weeks now. I see less black heads and white heads.
I am getting a few bumps on my forehead and cheeks. Some people say your skin will purge or getting use to the exfoliating every night. I haven't used any of my scrub products might be too much for my skin.

I have sensitive, combination skin. Haven't seen any major break outs or irritation.
will continue to use and see if there are improvements after 2 months. As it takes time for skin to get use to and renew it self completely.

Hey all..
I'm so ready for summer........ Spring hurry up and go past....... HAHAHA

I can't wait to get in my shorts and singlet to go to the beach........ get my bikinis out.... The weather now is so unstable, suddenly hot, suddenly cold.. bloody raining hail in middle of the day.................................

But that's ok, that means spring is nearly over... summer is on its way. ~~~
So today I just wanted to share my September favourites. Things that I have been using and LOVING.. or more like addicted...... ~~~

I've been using the Naruko Apple seed 3% TA as toner for couple weeks now. and I absolutely love it. It gets rid of my dull skintone. wake up in the morning my face feel brighter... and my acne scars are fading quicker. it's not a thick toner, absorbs fast. and great for this time of the year, may be a bit too heavy for combination skin in summer, but might not be enough hydration for winter. It doesn't contain fragrance, no parabens and artificial preservatives. no reactions for my sensitive skin.. highly recommended.

Gucci II EDP.. perfect fragrance for spring, very feminine... last all day. just simply in love...

The china glaze sea spray and rimmel's lively lilac are both pastel colours.. great for spring.... not too bold but still colourful... and the Maybelline MAGNUM volume express is pretty impressive.

It thickens my lashes to gives it nice volume.. no clumping.. no flaking, no smudging.. until like 10 hours later....... but that's ok.. clean it up with Q-tip and reapply.... and good to go again. Just simple, cheap, affordable and does a great job.. comparable with some high end mascaras.. highly recommended.

So now lets get into my current obsession.. CORAL~~~.. I don't know why but just so into corally colours lately...... I got out my MAC Stereo rose MSF.. I thought it was too corally for winter, so I haven't been using it much until lately, and then I realised it goes perfectly with Bobbi Brown's Soft Coral lipstick.. Compliments each other so nicely...... and also brightens up my face to give a perfect summery glow..... and the lipstick probably my fav out of my collection............

[] Origins VitaZing SPF15 moisturiser ~[]

Hey all~~
After seeing TiffanyD's youtube rave and other bloggers' reviews about Origins Vitazing SPF15 tinted moisturiser, I am very tempted to try it. And finally gave in. So it is an energy boosting moisturiser with Mangosteen.. sounds yummy. Actually my bf went to pick this up for me.. and while he's there they gave him a bunch of samples to try. HAHAHA.

This post will just be some initial thoughts about the product, so not really a review yet.

So this is what it looks like. comes in a 50 mL tube, hygienic because you can squeeze out the product you need. has an SPF 15, not really enough for out door activities under Australian sun, but if you are doing some office work or staying in doors for most of the time then I guess it should be enough.

Origins formulate their products without mineral oil, parabens and all other sorts of nasty things so less change of allergic reaction and not harmful to the skin. So that's one of the main reasons why I really LOVE Origins, me and mum have been using The Body Shop and Origins products for years.

This is what it looks like when you squeeze it out of the tube, white with little specs of brown dots.
When you spread it out, it's mainly white and you can still see the brown dots.

When you spread more, it changes colour to a warm/neutral skintone colour, but very sheer.
I think I would say this is about NC20. to NC25 kind of colour.

I read alot of review that it is actually too dark for some pale skintoned girls. for me it is a bit dark as well, but perfect for summer, because it gives a bit of Tanned look. I'm not sure how it will look for people with dark skintone.

So this is what it looks like on the right half of my hand. A glossy, semi matte kind of finish. Not oily at all. Absorbs well on my face. I really like it. It does have a smell to it, but it doesn't irritate me. I think I will be using this all summer.

When I use it long enough I will give a proper review as it is kind of a part of a skincare, because it's a moisturiser. The only down side is it's got SPF so can only use in the morning.

Just going to do a Nail Polish Collection today. Because I added a new member to this collection.

Think my favourite nail polish brands are OPI and Rimmel. First OPI has great range of colours, great quality. you can't beat that. then Rimmel is just cheap affordable, and the quality isn't bad for the price. I would say China Glaze in sort of in the middle, it has great colour ranges, but the polish some times becomes gummy, hard to dry and also with some polishes, it's either Hit or Miss.

So I took picture of the polishes I currently have in my collection.

Hey all~~~

Spring is here... I can already feel the heat........ that means Summer is just right around the corner.. and it's time to dig out those high SPF sunscreens. Last summer I went by using Estee Lauder Cyber White UV SPF 50 PA +++. but they discontinued it and came out with the new version which is really EXPENSIVE>........... crazy. So decided to try out other sun protection products.

Here's 6 of them I wanted to show you guys and compare:
- Aveeno Ultra Calming Daily Moisturiser SPF 15 UVA/UVB Sunscreen
- Eucerin Sensitive Skin Everyday Protection Face Lotion SPF 30 UVA/UVB protection
- L'oreal UV Perfect 12 H Longlasting protection Even Complexion SPF50 PA+++
- Shiseido Aqualabel White Protect Milk UV SPF30 PA++
- Estee Lauder Cyber White Brillant Cell Full Spectrum UV protector SPF50 PA+++
- Shiseido Anessa Perfect UV sunscreen EX SPF50 PA+++

Here's a swatch on the hand in the same order as the photo. Anessa is the runniest. and Eucerin is the thickest leaves a white cast as well. and Aveeno UC is quite thick too.

Here's what it looks like spread out. as you can see Anessa is quite runny.

I put these sunscreen onto a blotting paper and test its oiliness or moisturising content.
This is what it looks like when just put on the paper. within 5 minutes.
This is after 1 hour.
This is after 3 hours
This is after 5 hours.

I would have to say my favourite is still Estee Lauder Cyber White....... second favourite to that is shiseido Aqualabel.
I broke out from Eucerin for some reason. ~~~ shame..........
Aveeno is too oily for me. may be during winter time....
L'oreal one is quite tacky.. takes AGES to dry/absorbed. and it's sticky.. feels heavy on face.. don't like it.
Anessa is a good choice too very good for summer.. high SPF....

So based on my combination/oily T-zone face the ranking would be:
- Estee Lauder
- Shiseido Aqualabel
- Anessa

There two I don't really use because one breaks me out...... one is so sticky makes me wanna wash it off my face straight away.

Hey all~~~.
Just wanted to share with you guys about La Femme blushes.

First of all I want to say.. the quality of these are SOOOO GOOOD for the price you pay. Unbelievable. the colour pay off is AMAZING... so pigmented. though that means you gota be careful when applying blush because you can so easily over do it and end up looking like a clown.

The ones I purchased are called La Femme Blush on Rouge at $3.00 USD each.
Their shipping is very reasonable as well. Also have a TONE of colours to choose from.

So here's four colours I bought.
Top LTR: Coral Spice, Peach
Bottom LTR: Dusty Rose, Mocha
Here's a watch on the hand. Coral Spice is like Nars Orgasm. and PEACH is such a pretty summer colour. same order as above.

Then A lightly swatched on my arm. LTR: Coral Spice, Peach, Dusty Rose, Mocha.
These blushes are SOOOO pigmented, with the lightest touch on the finger gives you enough for 5 people's faces. HAHAH exaggerating, but you get what I mean.

So be really careful when applying. layer it bit by bit... you can always add more if you like.

HIGHLY recommended. lots of makeup artists use these. but the only thing is I can't apply these when I'm in a hurry, because there's just not enough time. LOL.

Hey all~~~~
I went out yesterday and I couldn't wait to try the new Lunasol Three Dimensional Eyes palette so I did a quick FOTD. I was going for a more natural/subtle look so nothing dramatic.

I thought the pallete would be really shimmery but it turns out really pretty not over glittery like my Lunasol CORAL CORAL palette.......... I don't think my camera is doing any justice though.

Here a list of things I used for this FOTD:
- Cezanne powder foundation. I just did a review for this.
- Nars Laguna bronzer
- Mac Fleur Power blush
- Mac powerpoint eyeliner in Duck ( brown)
- Lavshuca brow set LB-1 ( forgot to take photo)
- Canmake brow gel in 03 ( forgot this one too)
- Maquillage eyelash curler (sigh..... forgot this one as well)
- Too Faced shadow insurance
- Kiss me Heroine mascara (volume and curl)
- Lunasol Three Dimensional Eyes in 03
- Estee Lauder lipstick in Crystal pink (old formula and packaging)

This is kind of like a semi tutorial post too. I tried to show the steps of how I used the palette, but I don't think it's any help though. sad.................. T__T

Pictures taken under natural indoor bathroom light. (No flash used)

First: Apply shadow insurance then Curl your lashes......... Apply the mac powerpoint eyeliner. Doesn't matter if it's messy. And kind of extend the outer corner a bit. I didn't wing it out. Also apply 1/3 of the outer corner of the lower lashes.
Apply the top right colour all over the lid as a base.
then apply the purple 1/2 of the lid blending upwards.
then use the brown from the palette to trace over the eyeliner you draw before. extending the corner and you can make a wing if you like. Using eyeshadows to make a wing makes it more natural than using eyeliners.
Take the white from the top left, apply it to the brow bone.
Apply Mascara and your done.
This is what it looks like quite subtle shimmery look. but my camera doesn't do the justice of showing the colour and how pretty it looks in real life.

and here's a finished look.......... Nothing dramatic. keep it natural...... ^^but I do have to say... this looks very springy although the collection is promoting a autumn/winter season......

Hey all~~~
Haven't been posting much because I'm sick at the moment.. so pretty much taking it easy. Hopefully my health would get back to normal soon so I can get my work done (which is piling up now).

Recently Lunasol by Kanebo came out with their new 2011 Autumn/Winter collection called Three Dimensional Eyes. It has 5 colours. These eyeshadows are based on the idea of light and shade and that it's all revolving around neutral beige undertones for a more natural look but with different light (shimmery) variations.
01 = Beige Beige
02 = Soft Beige ( pink)
03 = Mysterious Beige ( purple)
04 = Cool Beige (green/grey)
05 = Deep Beige (taupe/grey)

I didn't think 01/04/05 attracted me all that much because they are pretty much VERY neutral basic shades. so it was between 02 pink or 03 purple. I find that pink some times makes my eyes looks puffy and pink can make you look tired........ so I decided to go with purple as it is after all my favourite colour.

While looking at the new collection, I had some interest in blue colours. Some how these days I am into deep/dark blue shades, I find them compliment my skintone/eye colour quite well for some reason. I saw their Nature Eyes Collection had that kind of dark blue I was looking for. It was the 04 palette called Nature Beige. these palettes are based on the natural scenery of the Earth and this one is based on desert sand.

Yeah the box is a bit squashed in the mail. but the content is all good.

Really nice packaging, simple elegant, I like... :)

A picture of swatch under the sun. Love that purple and the dark brown.. actually every thing is nice.. matches perfectly, If you are going for a more natural look. you can just skip the purple and it becomes an every day palette. how handy........

So next is the Lunasol Nature Eyes in Nature Beige.
Pictures taken all under natural indoor lighting. It is a bit more shimmery than the Three dimensional eyes. but not over powering.

Here's a swatch of it. Very desert like...... which is quite neutral which can be used every day.

Hope you all had a great weekend. Didn't do any thing much this weekend, just read the last book of the Black Magician Trilogy by Trudi Canavan. Now I have finished it.. it's really good!!! Highly recommended.

ok, back to the main Topic. Cezanne Ultra Cover UV Foundation II, I got this foundation a while ago. Have been Using it since because of its amazing coverage and great staying power. and For the Price..... It's worth every penny.

I got it in the colour 02 Light Ocher. It Fits perfectly. Blends into the neck nicely, None Cakey. Oil control is a bit above average. has SPF 35 PA+++. THis is also a reformulation of the first version. So the Coverage is better.

This is what the case looks like.
And the powder inside. I took out the Sponge because it needs a wash. but the sponge is soft and applies well. a normal Latex sponge. This foundation can be used both dry and wet. I normally use it dry over my liquid foundation to give that extra coverage and oil control through out the day.

Applied to hand on the right half of the hand. Left half is untouched.

Lets have a look how it applies on face.
So this is my bare face.......... pimple scars, pores, black heads.. yuky stuff...........

This is applied to face dry after moisturiser no primers.

It covers minor scars and covers pores perfectly without being cakey. Wears well through out the day. In fact, after about 1-2 hours of wearing when the oil from the skin mixes with the foundation, it the best natural look foundation ever. just great.

Touch up may be needed for every 4-5 hours. So Highly Recommend this foundation, Over any high end powder foundation I have tried any day. FOr the price and Quality... definitely.

[] Stila Haute in The Hamptons Beach Palette & FOTD[]

Hey all ~~
Haven't done a FOTD for a while. I purchased the Stila Haute in The Hamptons Beach Palette on Ebay for about $17.00 USD. The reason why I was so drawn to this pallete is because Rouge Deluxe, She did a look using this palette and it looked amazing.

This is what the cover looks like. very holiday summer feel. Wish summer was here quicker.

This is what it looks like inside, it has a mirror, instructions as to how to use the colours. Contains 4 shadow colours, 1 blush and 1 bronzer/contour colour. though I find both colours can be used as blush. because the bronzer colour isn't dark/brown enough.

Here's a closer look for the instructions.
Here's what the back looks like, has the name to all the shades.
So the lightested is called SAND, the golden colour is called Linen. The dark brown is called Route 27, and the blue is called Blue Skies. it is a Beautiful muted Blue colour.
All these colours has a slight sheen to them, not sparkly, which I REALLY LIKE...

The top blush colour is Hydrangea, the bottom is called Montauk Highway.
here's a picture of swatch on my hand under natural lighting. no FLASH. the colours stay pretty true to real life.

Here's a list of items I used for this FOTD:
- Estee Lauder Double Wear Light foundation
- Cezanne pink case powder foundation to set the foundation
- Lavschuca eye brow set
- Canmake brow mascara in 03
- Revlon colorburst in Mauve for lips
- Maquillage eyelash curler
- kiss me heroine mascara (volume & curl)

I used the Hydrangea colour from the Stila palette as blush. looks very similar to Mac's Fluer Power which I've been using nearly every day since I got it.

For eyes, I didn't exactly follow the instructions:
- Use Sand all over the lid as a base
- Use Linen over eye lid to give that bit more golden colour
- Use Route 27 within the crease across the eyelid
- Use Blue skies in the outter corner give that extra bit pop of colour.

I tried using the blue skies under the eyes, find it a bit too dark. I was going for a more natural look. may be next look should be a more heavier eye look with eyeliners as well.

Hey all
Hope you all had a great weekend, I'm still recovering from sore muscles and bruises from the skii trip. But it was fun. So just wanted to share with you guys the products that I have been really using during July and August.

So I have been getting some skin allergy or something, having pimples and spots near my chin area and forehead. So I decided to try the Clinique Clarifying Lotion 1. This is New formula, I tried the old formula, which was drying and lots of alcohol smell. This one still contains alcohol, but not as harsh and it's got moisture keeping ingredients like sodium hyaluronate and also which hazel to calm the skin down.

In conjunction I have been using the Naruko Tea Tree Sebum Control Night Gelly. Really works. Keep my skin smooth and wake up with pimples less red and not as oily but still moisturized. great product for troubled skin.

Been loving the Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation, using it nearly every day. some times Mixed with my Estee Lauder DWL. really nice foundation in general. I review it before you can check my review for it []HERE[]

Cezanne Foundation, great coverage, none cakey. nice oil control. Will do a review soon. I think it works better than my Maquillage one.

Been using my Mac Fluer Power blush every day......... LOVe it.....................
Also the Magnum Maybelline mascara. pretty good, but not water proof, and not smudge proof as my Kiss me Heroine Mascara, but easy to take off. Will do a review soon too.

Sorry for the late reply, spent a week down the Snow, learning how to snowboard and skii. Now that i'm back I can say that snowboard requires more energy and stacking 1000 million times and I can only know how to balance on it. As for Skii, I know how to skii down the hills like a semi pro now. ^^..

Hey all~~

Weekend Finally. Just tired from work this week. So now I have time to update.

So I got the Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation a while ago because of all the hype saying how good this is. how amazing. Had to try it. I was matched to the shade B20. It's slight dark for me right now in middle of winter. but I think it should be perfect match in Summer. B20 is actually very yellow toned, which suits asian skintones quite well.

It comes in a 30mL plastic bottle. light easy to carry, no breaking. a squeezy tube hygienic. The only thing I don't like is that I have to shake this before using. I don't mean like just shake. you have to shake it like bar tender for like 30 seconds or a minute. or else it's gonna come out two phased. So if i'm in a hurry in the morning. I don't use this.

Lets see how it turns out on skin.
Bare face as usual, under natural indoor lighting.
One layer of foundation applied. Dries a semi matte finish.

The foundation is suppose to be like a second layer of your skin. I agree, but I don't agree with giving a light natural finish. I find it to give a medium coverage. and actually covers quite well. I would say 60% coverage, very similar to my Double Wear Light. It blends so easily, glides on like a dream. It has that Chanel fragrance to it. It might bother some people though.

This foundation lasts about 5-6 hours on my combination/dry skin need blotting. If you set it with an oil absorbing powder may be it will last longer. It fades nicely too, no patches, blotches. I'm not sure how this will go with dry skin though. I mean probably get a sample and try it? also there are lots of reviews on you tube too.

Hey all~~~
Just wanted to do a quick review today on the Cezanne UV Essence Neri Foundation.

This foundation is full coverage, it's a cream compact which sets to a powdery finish. Covers up the pores and help with dry patches which gives a glossy finish. Though it does dry kind of dewy finish.

It contains Hyaluronic acid, Apple extract, Yeast extract, Collagen and Amino acid system extract (moisturizing ingredients).It also have SPF26PA++.

Also this is how it looks when you open it. So it's got flip compartment which you can put the sponge and not on top of the foundation it self for hygiene purpose.

Here's a picture of my bare face under the natural indoor lighting, no flashes. you can see all sorts of stuff like pores.
Here's a picture of the product swatched on my wrist to show the coverage power. You can see that it covers the blue of my vein showing on my wrist and also it's quite yellow. the shadow is a really yellow base.

So here it is applied with fingers. you don't really need to use the sponge to apply it glides on smoothly, easily blended with fingers. and a little bit goes a long way. the coverage is definitely FULL coverage.

How did it turn out as the day go by? well I have combination skin. currently combination dry because of winter, heaters and things. So I thought I needed a bit more of moisture foundation so my dry patches don't show up. This started off with a beautiful full coverage foundation without looking cakey. I would even say that it covers better than my Estee Lauder DW, which surprises me. It settles from a cream to powder within 2-3 minutes. you can top it off with a powder or just leave it. But 4-5 hours through out the day, my nose start to get oily and around my T zone. by the end of the day my face was just oily. had to blot twice to get rid of that oil.

No breakouts but i just think it is too moisturising for combination skin. Probably perfect for those who have dry skin. If you apply less of the product and blend it out, you can achieve a medium coverage. really nice quality but just too moisturising for me. So I pass it on to my mum, she loves it.

It also helps with tired looking skin, give it that bit of extra dewiness and glow, plus it has a UV protection, so you don't need another sunscreen over it. I mean you can always use a primer for a longer staying power, but I test it out without any primer underneath just my moisturiser.

Hey all~~
Haven't done a FOTD post in a long time. Thought I would do one with the new Visee Glow Glam Pallete in Pk-1. I'm feeling a bit pink these days.. for some reason.. thought to be a bit more girly...

Here's list of things I used for this FOTD~~~~~~
Face:
- Estee Lauder Double Wear in Desert Beige (got a new bottle because I finished Fresco)
- Laura Mercier mineral powder in Sand ( HG loose powder)
- Rimmel Match Perfect Concealer
- Rimmel Bronzer in 022 Sun bronze
- Mac blush in Fleur Power (used with a stippling brush)

Eyes/Brow:
- Visee Glow Glam Pallete in PK-1
- Mac fluidline in Black
- Lavschuca brow set in LB
- Canmake brow gel in 03 Natural
- Maybelline Magnum Mascara in Black
- Too Faced Shadow Insurance ( forgot to put in the picture)

Lips:
- Estee Lauder Lipstick in Crystal Pink ( This is the old package, they have the new package which looks fabulous but it's the same thing).

Honestly, I think I prefer this lipstick to Mac Angel, I mean this is a very girly pink but it's a buildable colour without being pastel.... like that milky looking pink. And the Estee Lauder lipstick gives that glossy look without gloss and none sticky!!! Highly recommended..!!!

The Visee Glow Glam PK-1 remind me of my Lunasol Pink Coral pallete. So I got it out to do a quick comparison. Photo taken under natural indoor light no flash.

Did a quick swatch of the two palletes. The top 4 colour belongs to Lunasol. the bottom 4 colours belong to Visee. The pink from lunasol is more warm and sheer than visee. and the brown from lunasol is more red than visee. visee's brown is a true brown, where the lunasol is more of a warm copper colour. The gold from lunasol is very yellow, where as the visee's gold is more white.

So here's what the eye make up looks like. Used the gold colour all over lid. and the pink one in the outer half of the lid, also applied along bottom lash line. Apply mac gel eyeliner on top lashes and 1/3 of bottom outer corner. then use the brown colour from the pallete using the sponge tip to apply it over the eyeliner and blend it out. do the same for bottom 1/3 outer corner. Curl the lashes and then apply the Mascara. let it dry then apply second layer. if you want you can keep building.

For face, contour with rimmel bronzer. it's so natural love it !!!. best buy ever. ditched my Nars laguna, probably get that out in the summer. because it's too shimmery right now. then apply Mac's blush in fleur power using stippling blush.
Apply lip stick....... you can apply the Estee Lauder's lipstick any way you want. No skills no techniques required. HAHAHA still looks good....... LOVE~~~~~~~~~~~~~..... go out there and get it !!
and finished......... girly pink look.
I wanted to take pictures but the sun went down was too dark so had to turn on bathroom light><.... it looks more shimmery with natural lighting. I don't mean glittery . but like a nice sheen with soft colours. LOVE........... definately a keeper ( I mean the pallete)

just going to do a quick haul post on the things i bought this months. After all these I will be on makeup ban, no more buying until September. Trying to save money... and not spend on things that I already have.

I am always tempted to buy things when looking at other people's posts, reviews and haul videos. But I realise that I have the things I need, I don't really need more.. plus going to take me a long long time to finish the makeup i have... That being said. lets get on with the haul ^^

Here's a closer look at Nars Angelika and Cairo..
Angelika is a cool tones bubblegum pink and At first I thought it won't suit my NC-15/20 skin because I am yellow toned, but it actually looks different once applied. quite nice, a change from my Nars DT blush which is nearly finished.

I saw lots and lots of reviews for the Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation, so finally decided to try it. I got the colour in B20. a more yellow based colour. It says light to medium coverage, I think it's more of a Medium coverage, which isn't a bad thing for me. will do review once I've used enough of it.

Mac fleur power blush has been on my wishing list for a while. never actually gone out and get it. It's super pigmented. use a mac 187 to apply. and it's a really refreshing pink...... suits Asian skintone very well.

Heres the three Visee palletes.

Here's a closer look. I have the Glam Nude pallete in N-2. I love that pallete to death and probably hitting pan very soon. So I decided to get this one in N-3. I don't know I was on a purple hit and wanted to get a refreshing purple colour. I didn't like Visee Glam shade eyes that much, because the glitter was chunky and too shimmery for day time use. probably thinking of giving that one away.

The Visee Glow Glam eyes are new, just came out recently. I got it in pk-1 because I saw some one did a look with that pallete and really like it. so i thought i give it a try. CHeck out her blog for the looks using PK-1 and BR-2

Hey All~~~~~~~~~~

How's every one's weekend?? It was beautiful weather in Sydney, and really wished it was summer so I can hit the beach, instead it's in middle of winter.. so cold......... But the trend of summer now in Northern Hem is coral....... hence the title... ^^

I just wish summer could get there faster............ I love coral colours. being an Asian, having yellow toned skin, corals suits me better than pinks. I find that it's harder to pull of a bubblegum pink lipstick or a dolly pink blush. But as for Coral colours, straight away lifts the face, and make me look brighter. I stopped buying dolly pink things........... It looks so nice swatched on hand, but when I apply it on my face.. just doesn't work how I wished it did.

Giving a few examples of pink items that are hard for me:
- Mac Angel Lipstick
- Mac Please me Lipstick
- Mac Pink swoon blush
- Nars Angelika blush
- Maybelline pink please lipstick

So that being said, I picked out a few favourite coral coloured items which is great for summer, or any time of the year when you feel a bit coraly........

I start off with Lipsticks:
- Bobbi Brown lipcolor in Salmon
- Bobbi Brown rich lipcolor in Soft Coral
- Revlon colorburst in Peach
- Barry M lip paint 147 peachy pink

This is what they look like under natural indoor lighting.
Then onto the blushes:
Bronzer in summer is always great to give you that healthy glow........ but blushes can add a bit more of a colour to your face.
- Mac MSF in Stereo Rose ( got this some time last year) so bad that it's limited edition.
- Mac cream blush in Lilicent. (going to be discontinued, there will be similar colour coming out with new formula)
- Nars Luster
There are other great coral coloured blushes out there. you don't have to go and rush out pay so much for mac's products of Nars..

So here are some swatches for you.
Top(L to R):
- Salmon lip color
- Soft Coral rich lip color
- Peach
- Barry M 147 peachy pink

Bottom (L to R):
- Mac stereo rose
- Mac lilicent
- Nars Luster

My favourite lip color have to be Soft Coral.......... just a pretty colour without being neon like the Barry M 147, peach is a similar colour but slightly pinker.. some times I apply soft coral directly to the lips and then blot with a tissue paper to give that natural lip with hint of coral..
Second favourite is Salmon....... a more nude coral but still pretty.............

My favourite coral blush probably Nars Luster, not really truely a coral but an apricot with gold shimmers. I add a bit more of a pink on top some times. so it doesn't seem so orange.

Some times Orange toned blush can look gorgeous, but I really dont know how to pull it off............

ELF complexion brush review

Hey all ~~~
Recently, I was looking for a powder brush. Some times I find that kabuki brushes picks up too much powder and deposits too much product on the spot the brush first touches. and doesn't give an even coverage. So i was checking brushes out on internet, and turns out MAC 134 is a decent powder brush, but so expensive.

but alot people compare it to the ELF complexion brush. So I decided to get the ELF complexion brush instead.

Comes with a case and brush protector. so you can bring it with you, how handy.

Just wanted to do a quick comparison to my EcoTools brushes. So the Top is ecotools blush brush, the bottom is ecotools powder brush.

Comparing it to the blush brush, ELF is a bit bigger, but shorter bristles. so more sturdy. covers a larger area but still small enough to get into the curved areas of the face.
The powder brush from ecotools is bigger and longer in bristles, but it's sooo flimsy for applying powder. it makes powder fly every where, which I don't like. The ELF brush is so soft, picks up the right amount of powder to apply to half of my face, distributes product evenly. and can be used as a blush brush as well. multi purpose brush..

I clean it with shampoo and warm water, no shedding. great quality. plus its synthetic bristles, no harm to animals.. plus points for me.

Highly recommended!!!!......... every one should have one......... a fraction of a cost compared to mac, great quality...... easy to use, clean and store.. nothing i don't like about it............ thumbs up ^^

[] Bourjois Healthy Mix...& blush ~~[]

Hey all

I have been using the bourjois healthy mix foundation ever since I got it beginning of the months. I have dry/combination skin because Australia is in middle of winter, and my skin is dry because of heater at night. I do masks and things to keep it hydrated but I can't use my Estee Lauder double wear any more, because it's too drying, looks cakey and accentuates my dry patches.

This foundation gives a satin/glow finish without looking oily. Perfect for my skin. It says 16 hours stay, for me about 5-6 hours it starts to fade. THe coverage i have to say medium. Not really light. I apply it with my fingers, If i use a foundation brush the coverage is even more.

So this is what the bottle looks like, it has a PUMP!!!!! so happy for that, and the pump is great u can get as much as you want out. and not wasting product.calims to have apricot, melon, Pomme and ginger. It says fruit therapy and radiance boosting. I bought colour 52 and 53. right now i'm using 52 Vanilla. because I'm quite pale at the moment.

And this how it looks after spread out on my hand.

Lets see how it does on my face.
Here's a picture of my bare skin. (freckles, acne scars, large pores. blah blah blah, you get the idea)
The next picture is the foundation alone. (with flash)

Then apply the blush. the blush is #16, for swatches see my previous hauL post about bourjois. the blush is only 2.5 grams. so tiny. but the colour is gorgeous.
This is the face with foundation, powder and blush with no flash ( natural indoor lighting)

I would say the foundation gives a pretty good coverage covered 50-60 % of my imperfections, though concealer might be needed for dark eye circles. It covered my pores, not drying, doesn't stick to my dry patches and make them look worse. It doesn't last 16 hours though. i 'd say about 5-6 hours, may vary from person to person. I don't see my self wearing this during summer, the heat might make this foundation melt off my face.

But overall i would give it a 4 out of 5. Recommended for people to try it. Alot raves from other beauty bloggers too.

Some how these days, I keep on buying Foundation, or wanting to try new foundations. I heard Cezanne is a really good drug store brand in Japan, and alot people recommend their pink case powder foundation for coverage and they recently came out with a 2nd generation pink case foundation. Which has higher coverage and lasting power.

So I purchased two of their foundations,
Left: UV essence neri foundation
Right: Ultra cover foundation UV II

for both i picked the 2nd lightest colour. 20, and 2. you can click the image for enlargement.
Pack of the package, absolutely no idea what it says. as I can't read Japanese. So lets see what the website says.

Hey all ~~~
Just wanted to do a review today. Bought this product: Shiseido Maquillage Lighting White Powdery UV Foundation with SPF 25 ++. Super long name. It is a powder foundation, designed for summer I think, It claims to create bright and pure white skin with continuous use. The powder contains whitening ingredients.

The website says:

A powdery foundation formulated with Glow All-over Powder that lights-up your skin to create a translucent, pure-white finish.
Absorbs only sebum to prevent makeup wearing-off.
Formulated with Pure White Essence* to nourish, smoothen and brighten your skin with continuous use.

* Formulated with moisturizing Pure White Essence
(Saxifraga sarmentosa extract, Zingiber aromaticus extract,
Sodium hyaluronate, Glycerin, Sodium magnesium silicate)
・Tested and proved to stay for 8 hours.
(Source: SHISEIDO. Effects vary between individuals.)

I got this foundation as soon as it came out, because The case look so pretty.. haha i'm a sucker for packaging. and also the foundation sounds amazing... I got it in the colour OC10, a neutral toned foundation suits my NC20 ish skin. I think i'm a bit lighter than NC20 right now as it is winter.

This is what the foundation looks like. It use to have a Maquillage logo on the powder foundation but I've been using it every day for about a month, so that logo is gone.
Lets start with my BARE FACE.... disgusting ... freckles, with large pores, and acne scars.
For reference I am about NC20, (a bit lighter now for winter). Combination dry skin in winter, combination oily in summer. oily T zone. all foundations slips off my face only estee lauder DWL and DW stays on during summer.

So now lets see the effect of this foundation There is no base applied. no primers no nothing. It covers the pores pretty well and some redness, but you can still see some freckles and acne scars. This foundation gives a natural look, not too MATTE, gives a bit of glow, especially after a couple hours it looks more natural. Freshly applied foundation may look a bit powdery if applied too much. I normally wear my Clinique city blocker as base if I am going to just wear powder foundations. It covers the pores first so the foundation goes on smoothly.

This is what the foundation looks like with flash. Honestly, it does give a white cast. I'm not sure if you can tell, but in photos it gives a pretty strong white cast. may be because of the SPF25PA++. But I like my foundations with SPF, atleast it protects my skin from harmful UV rays. Also please note that Especially with powder foundations and UV protection, you have to put enough of the product to form a layer to protect the skin. If the layer is too thin, the UV index is nowhere near SPF 25.

This foundation does not Oxidise through out the day. stays true to its colour. It doesn't look cakey and heavy if I put too much. It covers flaws but still letting your natural skin shine through. It can be used as a setting powder or foundation on its own depending on what you want, what you feel like.

The cons of this foundation is that, its oil absorbing powder is not 100%, by 4-5 hours I need to blot oil and for me by 7-8 hour time it's kind of disappeared. So I will need to reapply. I use this in the afternoon before I go out at night. also for touch ups. The foundation is quite pricey too. But a nice foundation to have. If you are on Budget, you can try the Cezanne powder foundations. They are really good too.

Hey all,
Decided to do a May & June combined favourites post. Not just about make up items, but also skincare.

So the products include:
- Sana Nameraka Soy Essence
- Sana Nameraka Soy Q10 Milk Lotion
- Shiseido Maquillage Powder Foundation
- Nars Penny Lane cream blush
- Canmake powder blush PW05
- Bobbi Brown rich color lipstick in crimson
- Clinique lipgloss in Grapefruit (sample)

And also the
- Estee Lauder Pure White Linen ( I get complimented when I wear this )
- MOR hand cream

I was using The body Shop's Aloe sensitive skin range for a while because I had some allergies to other products, but now my skin is better I switched to using Sana Nameraka's skincare range, I have been using the face wash for ages gets rid of make up and dirt for the day. The essence is great for winter time, the moisturiser alone is not hydrating enough. But probably will be great for summer.

I have been using the Shiseido Maquillage powder foundation since I got it, great for a quick touch up or if you are in a hurry in the morning. I normally use it as a setting powder, but if i'm in a hurry i just use that, less than 1 minute your foundation is done. put on some blush and your ready to go.

Talk about blush I have been using the Nars Penny Lane, some times my skin gets dry and powder blush makes it even worse, looks so powdery and dry. Penny lane is great, natural colour gives a hint of flush and I use the Canmake powder blush in PW05 in the afternoon for touch ups if I'm going out to dinner. So I use penny lane first then go over with the canmake blush.

Favourite winter lip combo. a dark wine shade with a gloss over it if you like, but I sometimes prefer the matte version. Sexy red lip without being too over the top, Bobbi Brown Crimson!!! LOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The MOR handcream, was a gift from a student of mine, she was so sweet!!. I work in a lab and washes my hand constantly, gets all crippled up like an old woman. This hand cream is really nice. No kidding, absorbs fast/nicely, and moisturizes well!!!. and smells great, product is free from parabens, mineral oil and synthetic dyes. and is NOT tested on animals. GREAT!!!.. hurry up get out there and try it.

Finally just a quick update about my hair... I was in a hurry and tried to blow dry it nicely.. FAIL>>> the ends are so frizzy, but it has volume now. LOL.. atleast that's comforting.

Hey all~~

Just wanted to tell every one that there is a Priceline Sale.. ending on the 20th of June, and 1/2 Price on Bourjois and discounts on other brands. I've always wanted to try Bourjois products but their foundation is $32 AUD and $20 AUD for their blushes which is pricey for a drugstore brand. but since now it is 1/2 Price...... think it's time to give it a try.

I heard alot good reviews about the Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation. Gives a semi matte/satin finish, giving skin that glow without the oiliness. And it's a drugstore dupe for Chanel's Pro Lumiere. I bought it in Shade 52 and 53. The shade 52 matches me perfectly right now as it is winter in Sydney, I'm about NC20 but a bit lighter now. I also bought the Healthy Mix powder foundation, just using it as a setting powder.

I picked a Bourjoise blush in the shade 16 Rose Coup De Foundre, I wanted to find the shade 34 Rose D'or, but they didn't have it. I also wanted the Mac creme blush in Lilicent, because This shade will be discontinued as Mac will bring out a new formula cream blush with different shades.

The powder has a sifter so you can close it and bring it around with you for touch ups as it is only 5 g. Handy ^^
Here's some swatches, The first row is foundation swatch, in 52 and on the right is 53. I have to say 53 is quite yellow. the next row is Blush comparison. ON the left is NARS Deep Throat, and on the right is Bourjois 16 blush. And at the bottom is Mac Lilicent cream blush.

I think the Bourjois 16 blush is quite a close dupe for Nars DT, but a bit more pinkier, but shows up very similar on face. The only thing is the blush only have 2.5 g, quite a small amount.

Hey all~~~
I am addicted to these Bobbi Brown Lipsticks. this is actually my first time using Bobbi Brown products. One of my friend is addicted to buying BB products. heard great things about their product especially their great quality.

So I bought three of their lipsticks.
left to right:
- Bobbi Brown Color rich in Crimson
A deep berry colour great for winter I use this as a stain every day

- Bobbi Brown lip color in Salmon
A nude neutral peach colour doesn't make you look dead great for summer

- Bobbi Brown lip color in red
Classic red for a night out.

Here's the swatches as the order before.
Lets see how it looks as a whole picture. These lipsticks are really moistursing, not drying on my lips and doesn't get that flakeyness and things. wears for about 2-3 hours and may need reapply. But then I talk alot and eat and drink.

This is lip color in red. A didn't put a really thick layer on. but a sheer layer. so It appears more wearable during the day. If you want a more classic heavy application think you would need a lip liner and brush for precision. This colour is suitable for warm and cool skintone because it is neutral enough for both. and it doesn't make my teeth look yellow. but quite dramatic though.

This is lip color in Salmon. A neutral nude peach colour. Great for summer and paired with Nars Luster or any peach toned blush. really nice. LOVE...

This is rich lip color in Crimson. It is a dark berry colour without looking Gothic.
The picture above I wore it as a stain. Brightens up my face straight away. and also great for a night out. It's so nice for winter times. LOVE.. I'm using this every day .

This is what Crimson looks like if applied heavily. Quite a strong look, paired with a sultry eye look might be really nice. But I don't have time in the morning so just wear it as a stain.

If you have the opportunity, go try these lipstick. In my opinion it's better than MAC lipsticks because some mac lipstick can be really drying. and not that easy to wear. Bobbi Brown offers lots of shades and in my opinion the sales ladies in BB is way better than MAC.................

[]Rimmel Product review part 2[]~~

Hey all
this is my second part of the Rimmel products.

Nail Colour:
- thumb (Icon style)
- index (Hypnotic)
- middle (Tangerine queen)
- ring ( Sunshine)

- Rimmel makes great nail polish colours. I picked two summery colours and two reds.

I got the Rimmel I love lasting finish in tangerine queen and sunshine. This formula dries quickly and you can apply two coats under a minute and you don't have to sit here and wait ages for ur nail to dry. But it is quite prone to chipping. The colour didn't last really long on my fingers.

-Rimmel pro lycra professional finish nails are great. I got it in the colour of Icon style and Hynotic. Iconstyle is a all time classic red suit my slightly tanned yellow tone skin quite well. I don't usually wear reds it's a bit too daring for me. But this one is great makes you feel classy without being too poshy. HAHAHAHA I love the hypnotic colour. It's a red berry colour great for autumn and winter. LOVE IT. I wore it for one week without chipping.

- Rimmel Match Perfect 2 in 1 concealer & highlighter is a great item for under the eyes. I don't have really bad eye bags but a slight dark under circle. It covers my dark circle nicely, and brightens the eye area. Doesn't crease too much after about 6 hours it starts to crease a little bit in the lines. It's not drying at all. Hight recommend this product.

- Rimmel Stay Matte powder in translucent. This product is similar to Maybelline dream matte powder, It's a nice setting powder but a bit drying for winter /autumn because it tends to show my dry patches if I put on too much. I honestly prefer my Laura Mercier Mineral powder, gives that extra bit of coverage and sets the make up at the same time.

Hey all,
Rimmel London is pretty much in every priceline, drugstore, target and other stores. It is a well done none-expensive makeup brand which provides re seasonable good quality products. I would say some of their products are even comparable with high-end department store.

This is the New ad for their Rimmel Lasting Finish lipsticks. the model's name is Zoey. She's gorgeous.

Nyx pumpkin Pie:
a smooth moisturising lipstick with a beige nude colour but doesn't make me look DEAD. quite like it, but the lasting power is so so.

Rimmel Moisture renewal in Spotlight Beige:
A deeper peach beige nude color. I really like this one. I got it from Ebay. Don't think they sell it in the stores, I only saw nude delight which is too light for my Nc20 skintone.

Rimmel Moisture renewal in Vintage Pink:
I saw swatches of this color online, it was so beautiful, but when I bought it and wore it. It's more purple than pink. very cool toned colour. It's similar to Revlon color burst mauve but even more purple. Think it doesn't suit my warn skintone.

Rimmel Lasting finish in Airy Fairy:
This is a very famous color, On me it looks natural pink. just simply love it. it is a lasting finish formula but on me it doesn't really last. But I love the colour so much I bought back ups of this. Also I saw swatches online, Mac Fabby is the exact dupe. If they discontinued this you can buy Mac Fabby for replacement.

Rimmel Lasting finish in Asia:
This color is a bit more browny/rosey. no shimmers. Looks my lips but better kind of colour.
Not too dramatic and suits my NC 20 skintone. Lasting power is so so as well.

Overview of Lipsticks:
Rimmel do make really nice lipsticks. the moisture renewal formula is great if you have dry lips. and they just recently came out with new Lasting Finish Formula I haven't tried it yet. tell me how that goes if you tried them.

Rimmel Eyebrow Pencil:
The pencil is great , lasts all day even with my oily skin. it's not too pigmented so that you can build up the colour and if you make mistakes you can rub it out. I use this every day So really like it. Also has a brush on the cap to brush out the brow hair so make it a more natural looking.

Rimmel Natural Bronzer:
Believe it or not, i like this better than my NARS Laguna bronzer. reason being this is matte finish and not too pigmented, has more of a warm tone and you can build up the color. fool proof. does'nt make me look dirty or orange. I LOVE IT!!!!. HIGHLY recommended. If you want a more natural bronzer I suggest this and it's soooo much cheaper compared to the Nars Laguna bronzer.

GO out there and try this bronzer!!!!

Hey all ~~
Today I'm going to initial review a product I recently bought. It is the Lancome Maqui Blanc Miracle Powder Foundation. I am not a Lancome user. In fact this is my first time using a Lancome product. From a lot of reviews and things I heard this foundation is great for keeping skin from oiliness and sliding off your face. So it's a more of a summer foundation.

But I have combination oily skin in summer and combination dry skin in winter. Right now it's sort of combination dry.

It claims to give a brightness to the face with 12 hours Lasting unfading natural perfection. and It is a Mineral based formula suitable for sensitive skin. Great for shin control and giving a poreless look. with SPF 35 PA +++.

So the package it came in is a silver box with rose sign on it. and case and the foundation comes in different box. I didn't see this foundation in makeup counters in Australia. I think it is an Asia exclusive foundation. but I could be wrong.

SO this is what the products look like opened from the package.

You have to put the foundation inside the case from the back and click it into place. The shade I got is O-01. It's a neutral tone but the lightest shade. I know it might be a bit too light for me. But It's a brightening foundation, and I do want to make my face look a might more bright than making it looking dark. You can check my foundation shade on the side bar for various brands if you are wondering.

This is what it looks like after putting every thing together and it comes with a Huge mirror. The only thing about this packaging is there's no secure clip to make sure the case is really closed.
The sponge is a bit smaller than expected. It is dual sided. One side is conventional porous latex sponge feel, the other is soft velvety feel which is used to smooth the pores and things.

The foundation is applied on the right hand side of the hand and photo taken with flash (fill in).
It can be tell that there's foundation, has a light -medium coverage but can still see the skin from underneath. So it's more like letting your own skin shine through rather than covering it all up.

So lets see how this works out on my face.

Here's a picture of my bare face. you can see my freckles, acne scars and pores and things that I don't want people to see. HAHAHA

So I applied the Clinique city block SPF25 ++ as a primer/base. I found this sunblock is great for powder foundations and really bad for liquid foundation. it's too sticky and tacky for the liquid but great for powders to grab onto.

Here's a photo of the foundation applied after the Clinique sunblock. I think it covers pores and some light freckles but still leaving the skin looking natural. None cakey.
And the same as above but taken with a flash, just to compare.

I haven't used it enough to give a proper review but This is my initial thoughts:

I think this foundation covers about 60% of imperfections. hides pores but a bit drying if you didn't moisturize well. So if you have dry skin I might give it a second thought. I also think that the lasting power is quite good may be 5-6 hours not 12 hours unless you cake it on a thick layer and none of the oil comes through.

Another thing that I'm concerned is that, because it absorbs oil from skin, will it make my skin produce more oil because it is trying to balance itself out?
The colour o-01 is brightening for me but does have an ashy look to it may be because of the SPF. but after like 1 hour it looks more natural.

Will do a proper review once used it long enough.

hehe. Tell me what you think. or any other suggestions for great powder foundations.

Hope you all enjoying your weekend.
Just wanted to do a purple look today because I love purple. I think every one knows that by now.^^

I've had Nars DT blush for a while now. and from the photo below you can see it's nearly finished. hehe a well loved blush. So here's a list of things I used.

Face:
- Estee Lauder DWL
- Maquillage foundation OC-10
- Nars DT blush
- Rimmel Natural bronzer(do review soon)

Eyes:Brow:
- Lavschuca eyebrow set
- Canmake eyebrow mascara
- Too faced shadow insurance
- Visee glam nude N-2 ( the top right color as base)
- Majorlica Marjoca the grey color all over lid
- Shu Uemura M980 matte colour for crease
- Mac technikal liner black for water line
- kissme heorine mascara

Lips:
-Revlon colorburst in Raspberry (dabbed on)

Lets start with bare eyes..... nothing on them.. looks a bit dead

Apply the base colour from Visee pallete, and apply the grey colour all over the lid.
also apply the grey along the lower lashes.

Apply Shu Uemura's purple colour in the crease.or close to lashes. also apply in the outter corner of lower lashes.

Apply mac eyeliner in waterline for both upper and bottom waterline.

Curl your lashes and apply mascara. I only applied one layer. you can put as much as you like.

So here's an close eye of the finished makeup.

Apply bronzer in contour area. and blush on your checks. dab on some lipstick and good to go.

The eye colours are actually darker in real life. I think I might wear this look to a wedding to match my purple dress ^^.not sure yet. But I personally wouldn't dare to wear this during the day. quite heavy make up.

I also like this dark purple because It's not the girly type of purple. More a chic look than girly impression.

Well today, just going to show a mini ELF half.
I've always been wanting to try ELF, but the Australian website really suck. nothing on there, and the USA & UK website doesn't ship to Australia.

So I got two mineral lipstick, Nicely nude and Runway pink.
and their Golden Bronzer. The little mineral pigment came as a sample.

The above picture is the Golden Bronzer with falsh. Looks pretty cool. has highlighter and bronzing colour. can mix it up.

So this is bronzer and lipstick under natural sunlight. I like the package. black and sleek.

Hey all.~~
Just wanted to do a simple FOTD.
can't believe it's already May... saw lots of April's favourites video on youtube. LOL.

So here's a list of things that I used for this look. just a simple day look.

Face:
- Estee Lauder Double Wear light in intensity 01 (my second tube)
- Maquillage Powder Foundation
- Rimmel highlight concealer ( LOVE THIS STUFF!!)
- Nars Deep Throat blush. (hit pan and nearly finished)

Eyes:
-Coffret D'or Pallete in 04
- Mac powerpoint liner in duck
- Majorlica Majorca Lash Expander

Lips:
- Revlon Colorburst in Mauve (new favourite lipstick)

The packaging is classic. Very nice for a drugstore brand. thought a bit expensive if you buy it in priceline. I got mine online for $6.00 USD. HAHAHA

So here's some swatches. THe left side is only applied once. so you can pack on the colour and the right is a heavier swatch.This is my bare lips. ugly T___T

This is what the lipstick looks like on lips in natural lighting.

So for eyes, use the light colour of the coffret d'or pallete as highlight. use the blended colour as all over the lid. then use Mac eyeliner to line your eyes. I didn't care if it was a messy line or not because you go over the liner with the dark brown colour from the pallete.

Apply Mascara to both bottom and top lashes.

Put on some blush. dab on the revlon lipstick.
and you are good to go.

Need to fix up my eyebrows.. hahaha it's becoming unruly LOL..

Hey all ~~
I bought some stuff that was released not long ago. Just wanted to share my initial thoughts of these products.

First thing is the Coffret D'or Perfect Grade Eyes Pallete.
It's in the shade 04. A neutral peachy colour and a like brown colour. Both have shimmer.

I like other pallete I had from Coffret D'or with similar colour I forgot what is it called. But came out a while ago. This perfect grade eyes pallete contains two colour buy can mix to get a middle colour.

That's what the Package looks like. I didn't buy the case for it. I thought it's just the company trying to make more money. It doesn't makes sense to not have a case when you buy foundation/eyeshadows and things.

This is how it looks like when opened.
Comparing to my other coffret d'or pallete from a while ago. I really liked the old pallete.

Here's some swatches. Top Row is the old pallete. the pale peachy colour is lighter than the perfect grade eyes. and the brown is slightly more gray. The Bottom is the Perfect Grade Eyes. so the middle one is mixed two colours together.

So the Next item is Shiseido Maquillage White Lighting Powdery UV Foundation Compact.
(the longest name =__=|||)
The packaging is very girly I have to say. but elegant at the same time.

So this is the powder and the case comes separately . YOu have to put them together.
I got the Colour OC-10

This is what the foundation looks like under natural indoor lighting.
OC-10 Is actually just a tad lighter than Coffret D'or OC-C.
I use to be NC20-Nc25 So OC-C is a bit dark. the Maquillage one is actually more brightening. Good to use in winter. The OC-C is suitable for summer when I get a bit more tanned.

Here's a comparison picture betweetn Maquiallage Oc10 (left) and Coffret D'or OC-C (right)

As you can see OC-10 is a bit more pink/neutral tones. where as OC-C is more yellow and darker. and YAYYYY for hitting pan =P

Initial Review of the foundation:

I use it couple times. The powder is very fine. gives a more satiny finish than matte. Does have light reflective properties. Minimises the look of my pores. oil absorbing powers are not very efficient. So I suggest using in winter. if it's summer. Might not hold.

Hey all

How's every one's weekend? So just gonna do a post on Nars Cordura, I got it a while ago. been using it quite often. But never got around to do a post on it. It's a very popular eyeshadow Duo because the shade is flattering on most skintones even different eye colour. It is a nude every day shade so It's easy to work with.

The colours are extremely pigmented!! I mean only a dab with your brush will pick up so much colour. So if you are trying to create a smokey eye build the colour slowly with a light hand.

The left side is a warm coppery brown the right side is a neutral dark dark brown. Both shade have gold shimmer in it. but not chuncky or any thing. It gives more of a iridescence than sparkly in my opinion.

So for this EOTD I used These items:
- Kissme Heorine smooth liquid eyeliner
- Majorlica Majorca Lash expander frame plus
- Shu Uemura eyeshadow in P brown 820 (a golden champagne kind of colour)
- Nars Cordura Duo

Here's a picture of bare eyes. (LOL you can see my freckles)

Line your eyes with liquid eyeliner, It doesn't have to be neat. if you want your eyes to look bigger, you can draw a thicker liner, or winged out for cat eye look. I lined mine just a bit elongated, and close to my lashes. Some ppl tight line their eyes. I don't do that because I'm scared it will smudge every where.

Apply the Shu Uemura 's eyeshadow all over lid and inner corners of the eye. Then the Coppery shade of Nars Cordura Duo just up to the crease. or and blend blend. And also apply the coppery shade in the outter corner of the bottom lashes.

Apply the dark brown shade in the outter corner of the eyes. to accent crease. I didn't put alot because I want it to be a bit more subtle. nothing dramatic. Another way is using that dark brown shade and just go over your eyeliner. to make it more dramatic.

Apply the mascara to both top and bottom lashes. If you think the outer corner isn't dark enough. you can always add more to accentuate.

Here I'm using Revlon Colour Burst in Mauve ( My new favourite LIPSTICK!!!)
highly recommended!! smooth, moisturizing. Thinking of getting more shades.

[] Nars & Estee Lauder Haul[]

Hey All~~
Happy Easter. Hope every one enjoy their Easter Holidays.

I was Lemming for Nars Luster for the longest time, since last year But I never got it because I got a tone of other blushes to finish off. But my Nars DT has hit pan and by hit pan i mean nearly finished So I decided to buy Lutser. I got it on Ebay, because there's no way I would pay $60 AUD for it since AUD is so high now compared to USD.

So I purchased Nars Luster blush and Estee Lauder's Crystal Lipstick in Tiramisu.

Nars Luster is a sheer golden apricot colour. with LOTS and lots of gold shimmer, well it's not the chuncky type glitter but more of a sheen. Very true to the apricot colour though. Not much of a pink tone. Very warm colour so I don't think it will suit people with cool skin tones. The photo is taken under natural sunlight.

Here's a Swatch of Nars Luster. a Golden sheen to the apricot colour.
Now on to the Estee Lauder Crystal Lipstick in Tiramisu.

This is a discontinued colour. shame. Some people love it some people hate it.

This is a very sheer colour, with a hint of gold. gives that glossy look without gloss. I actually personally don't like lipglosses. it's so sticky that my hair sticks to it. People that wont like this is probably because it's too sheer, doesn't show much colour on dark/pigmented lips. low staying power.

This is a very every day colour lipstick. none offensive. can be used in every occasion. Very moisturizing. though the staying power is not that great. a more of my lips but better sort of colour.

This is me wearing luster and the lipstick. excuse the wet hair. just got out of shower and did my make up.

[]Laneige-white plus renew night cream review~[]

Hey all~~

This is first time that I try Laneige products, heard good reviews about their whitening skincare range and their crystal foundations. But never actually tried any of their products.

So this is the first product I've tried from this brand. There are a couple reviews on internet about this cream. I decided to give it a try.

This is what it looks like. In the information sheet that it came with. It states:
Spotless clear and bright skin has long been yearned for by every woman on earth since ancient times. Due to UV rays, stress, yellow sand and exhaust gas found in our daily life, skin tone tends to easily get discolored with more dry flakes and blotches like brown patches, freckles and acne.
Laneige white plus renew line, formulated with Manassantin B, an Amorepacific's exclusive patented ingredient, realizes all day care system that completely takes care of the discolored apple zone, retexturizing your skin with more brightened and clarified look.

The product I purchase is the Lanige White Plus Renew Night Cream

White plus renew complex with the function of 3-step melanin protection and recovery and the white birch ingredient work to recover the skin rhythm, keeping your skin appears brightened and luminous during the night time.

With the moist sensation like melted snow, and the smooth final touch, you can double the whitening effect by applying the simple whitening massage technique on the face and neck.

With containing the sugar maple ingredient that recovers the resilience of the skin surface keratin layer and sugar apple ingredient with the fine water circulation function, the water keeps supplied to the dry skin during the night time.

Seriously after reading all these, it didn't make much sense to me. all i know is it whitens and deals with pigmentation.
This is what it looks like when the jar's opened. You only need like a 10 cents piece for your entire face. I don't like the Jar container, so not hygienic.
Scoop some out of the jar.
spread some on my hand.
Completely spread out and let it absorb for a while. you can see the white sheen, there's no glitters or any thing like that. so the shine is not from fake glitters.

My verdict:

It's a good night time moisturiser, quite thick, but I think it's still not enough for dry type skin at winter time. I have combination/dry skin and for me it's just right so I would imagine it's not enough for dry skin. Thought might be quite oily for oily skin.

It is quite mild in my opinion, not much allergic reactions, but the ingredients are in korean have no idea what is it saying. so can't tell you what the ingredients are. as for whitening effects, I don't see any yet, may be I haven't use it long enough to tell. may be after a couple months it will show effects of lightening up pigmentation.

I think Vitamin C does a better job of lightening up pigmentations.

Will I buy it again? probably now. It's quite expensive in my opinion, and it's just like a normal night cream. nothing special to me.

[] EOTD with Visee Glam Eyeshadow Pu-7~~[]

Hey all ~~
Thought I would do a EOTD with the new Vissee Glam Eyeshadow in Pu-7.
Purple is my favourite colour. lol I think every ones knows that by now, but I was never able to pull it off. I don't really like the light purple eyeshadow type, I'm more of a deep/mauve purple. I loved Nars Ondine but my cousin wanted it, so I gave it to her. When I saw this one was coming out I knew I had to give it a try.

So this is the Visee Glam Eyeshadow in pu -7. See swatches here.
For EOTD here's all the things I used:
- Visee Glam eyeshadow in pu-7
- Kissme active girl mascara
- Kissme Heroine makeup liquid eyeliner
- Too faced shadow insurance

Here's a picture of bare eyes. with curled eyelashes.

Using the light lavender colour and apply all over the lid, bottom inner half of eye, and use the liquid eyeliner to line my eyes.
Then use the 2nd darkest shade apply 1/3 of the lid close to the eyelashes then blend it to the outer corner of the eyes. also apply to the lower lash line but only the outer 1/2 of the eye.

Then apply the darkest shade over the liquid liner for a more natural look.

Then apply mascara to both top and bottom lashes. and you are done.

This is what it looks like with eyes closed.

Review of the Eyeshadow pallete:
Pros:
Great colours, blends nicely.

Cons:
chunky glitter, ( I personally don't like glittery eyeshadows prefer more of a pearl sheen finish. )
Lots of fall out had to clean up around the cheek area.

I really liked the Visee Glam Nude Series. thinking of buying the N-5 smokey eye pallete.

[] Rescue Sensitive Skin[]

Hey all

A week ago, my skin started going WACKO. i'm not sure if it because of seasonal change, hormone imbalance or food or stress. but my skin was having dry patches, itchiness red patches. and wake up to dull and ugly looking skin regardless of having 8-10 hours of beauty sleep. terrible, yes I know.

SO I looked up online for products for sensitive skin. I decided to ditch my current skincare regime and pick up another one until my skin has settled down. This is what I came up with.
To cover up my patchiness and things I use powder foundation during the day right after my suncreen. pick a sunscreen that's more natural and doesn't contain preservatives like paraben types. Physical sun block that uses titanium oxide or zinc oxide should be better than chemical sunblocks for sensitive skin. Powder foundation or mineral foundation should be milder on the skin compared to liquid foundation.

So to take the make up off the day I use Clinique- take the day off makeup remover for eyes and lips. then wash with QV FACE- gentle cleanser.
This gentle cleanser is soap free, with vitamin E and adjusts skin to its natural pH. it doesn't make my skin feeling dry and tight after washing and it does have the powder to take off sunscreen and make up.

So to tone the face ( to add hydration to the face and gentle removal of dead skin cells) I use The Body Shop - Aloe Calming Toner. I put some on a cotton pad and wipe my face with it. I avoid any scrub or exfoliate which will just aggravate the skin further. This method removes the dead skin cells gently without make the skin acting up again. The reason why I picked this particular toner is because of its simple ingredients: Water, Aloe Barbadensis Gel, Pentylene Glycol, Butylene Glycol, Sorbitol, Glycerin.

That's all there is to this toner. I really like it, in two days it helped with my itchiness and red patches. Highly recommended for quick fix to sensitive skin.

To moisturize the face. I use Cetaphil. The products does not contain paraben which my skin don't like. I got two versions of moisturizer.
- Cetaphil Moisturising Lotion
- Cetaphil Dailyadvance Ultra Hydrating Lotion

The moiturising lotion is a more watery version of the ultra hydrating lotion. I started using the Ultra hydrating lotion but I have combination skin so it's a bit too heavy for during the day so I am using it at night now and also for my body. The moisturising lotion is great for all purposes. These two moisturisers tend to have a waxy feel after it's absorbed, may be that is how it is able to keep moisture in the skin all day, because my dry patches are gone.

These two products are gentle enough for baby's skin and won't block pores. Great price for the amount of product you get. Highly recommended.

The top is the Ultra hydrating lotion, the bottom is moisturising lotion. If you can't use all of it for your face because it's 250 mL product you can always use it for your body in area that's dry.

That's all for now. These products has helped my skin to calm down and getting back to its shape. So hopefully it will get back to being radiant in no time.

I've been absent for a months or so. feel so guilty about it so I have some free time today, might as do some posts about product reviews.

My long due Naruko Skincare Review. I saw these products on Queen show, and Fuzkittie talks about it as well, she had some review on youtube. check it out if you have time.

So I have combination/dry skin. oily T zone. it's trouble some, also I have sensitive skin, not extremely sensitive but i realized some ingredients like paraben or preservatives can make them all red and itchy.

- Total defense night repairing dew (8/10)
Description:
This repairing dew is designed to promote skins self repair during the night time,. Using narcissus bulb extract and the patented Phytoferulin formula, as well as double the amount of Tremella Fuciformis and Hyaluonan, it revitalizes and neutralizes the skin. skin will look replenished with boosted translucency and radiance.

This toner is actually really thick in texture. like close to honey but not as thick, if i put it more realistically how thick it is, it's probably like maple syrup for your pancakes. even though it says it's a night repairing dew I use it for morning and night. It is best used with the cotton pads put like a 10 cents piece on the cotton pad and light sweep it across the skin. When you first put it on it feels a bit sticky but after about 5-10 seconds it completely absorbs. keeps my skin moisturised all day long, when I use it at night, wakes up in the morning with skin feeling supple.

I really like this this toner, highly recommended. my skin did get more radiant and nothing in there upsets my skin. so i'm happy.

- Total defense moisturizing night repair (4/10)
Description:
This night repair is designed for skin's self repair during the night. A unique technology produces its fine texture to ensure deeper absorption, providing skin the opportunity for its own repairing from inside out. The high concentration of narcissus bulb extract and patented Phytoferulin formula provides endurance for the skin's restoration all night long.
I used the night dew first by it self then added this moisturiser to the regime after. when I started using this, I felt like as if the moisturising power isn't enough. it felt really powdery. and after about a months of using I had so many black heads on my nose and around my nose. This moisturiser contains lots of dimethicone, a type of silicone/silica material which makes it feel a bit more powdery. I stopped using it after a months, Still have half a bottle of it left.

didn't like this product. don't recommended at all. that's my personal opinion though. may be because I have large pores and oily T zone.

- Total defense fundamental serum (7/10)
Description:
This serum contains a special formula that reaches deep down into the skin, fighting aging while preventing moisture loss and revitalizing the skin.

I used this serum every night for about a month, it did its job of providing the extra moisture for my skin, hydrated for the night. But some how I don't feel it doing any thing else besides that. texture is very runny, absorbs well but I just don't see it doing any thing. may be it is helping my skin to repair it self and a bit more radiant when I wake up in the morning. But I don't see any dramatic difference. M... I'm neutral about this product, not sure if I will purchase again.

Hey all

it's been a while since I updated, been so busy working. Went away for a conference, and then when I came back was working even harder pretty much nearly 7 days a week.

I got sick because I wasn't eating properly, so I had gastric intestinal problems. Ie acidic stomache and Vomited all over the place. yeah doesn't feel nice at all. So have to eat easy to digest food and eat at regular intervals.

That aside. I went to cut my hair, and I said to the lady I want a trim. then she just got the scissors and chopped off most of my hair. LOL I guess she couldn't stand the unhealthy part and just cut it all off.

I wasn't use to it at all because I can hardly die it up and feels so much lighter. Dries so quickly after washing. Becomes quite convenient. Though my hair is still wavy. So this is how it turned out. LOL
My hair applied with Garnier surf hair texture paste. (wax) it's semi wet just after shower, got changed did my foundation.

Oh on the lips I'm using Barry M 147 (peachy pink) lipstick, with Mac Ample pink lipgloss. I love this combination. very springy look. The lipstick is quite drying and matte on its own. but with a gloss on top. looks great.

So for all that time I wasn't posting, I bought a few things. So here's the haul part

I bought the Clinique city block sheer SPF 25 and the even better foundation and rest came as gift with purchase. pretty cool.

I'm IN LOVE with fragrances. HAHAHAH I went perfume mad and bought so many but here's the two that I LOVE and use often, if it's this one, it's the other.

Gucci EDP II, LOVE the smell!!! so feminine, I use it for when I go out or dating . hehe

This one Estee Lauder Pure White Linen, is my every day stable. Use this to go to work, tutoring classes and things. I've got couple compliments as to how good I smell when I have this one on. feel a bit embarrassed when I got complimented.

[] My First Red Lips Look[]

Hey all ~~~
I don't know what happened, but I'm on a RED LIP kick these days. Looking for a good shade of red for Asian skintone. and I found a picture of a blond girl in red lips and winged eyeliner. really inspired for some reason.

Looks really elegant...~`~So I tried to recreate the look but adding a few adjustments of my own.
Here are the items used for this look

So here's how it turned out. I tried to contour as much as possible. but It didn't show up in this lighting. May be during the day with natural lighting It would be better. I read alot of blogs and some of the tips are really useful.

Tip 1: don't have a heavy eye make up when your focus is on the red lips. stick to neutral colour eyeshadow and apply lightly.
Tip 2: concentrate on the eyeliner to bring out your eyes.
Tip 3: use concealer around the red lip to make it stand out even more.
Tip 4: Do not apply too much blush, concentrate on contouring to bring out the shading of your face.
Tip 5: To contrast with the red lip, flawless skin is required. So use full coverage foundation to cover up the spots.blemish and etc.
Tip 6: if you want to wear red lips, please wear mono toned clothes, ie black, white, grey, beige. It would be so odd to see a girl with red lip and a pink floral top.

So here's a look at the eyemake up.
I concentrated mainly on the eyeliner, winged out at the end to make it a bit more dramatic. champaigne /gold and soft brown eyeshadow is used here to give it a bit more glam. and mascara is a must to open up the eyes. but leave it as natural as possible. use false lashes if you have to. hehe
This is what it looks like, just a wash of gold champaign colour all over the lid and a shade of brown to contour the eyes. apply eyeliner on inner waterline and make it thick to stand out.

Try to highlight the points where it should be high lighted and contour the areas you think needs shading. So I tried to make it a full coverage look, but not too caked up. I concealed around my mouth and under eye area.
This is how it turned out. I didn't wear contacts today, so in order for me to see. hehehe.

Hey all

I want to stop purchasing foundations. Well I think I am for now. So I will have a BLOG SALE coming up soon to sell all my foundations that I don't use, just sitting there. and some other items too. So I will keep you posted.

So recently I've just been buying Drugstore ranged products. I figured, Foundation is probably the only thing that I want that is from a good quality brand, doesn't give drama to my skin and stays on all day. So all other items like mascara, blush, what ever can be drug store, because you can just change it up when ever you like without paying $$$ for high end products.

I'm sure some ppl will disagree with me, but that's how I feel right now. plus some drug store may also have products that lives up to its expectations and may even be better than department store brands

The size of these blushes are SOOO SMALL.. like compared to my Nars Deep Throat..
look how small they are?? canmake is about 1/3 of Nars, and Media is about 1/2 of Nars...
I tried to swatch it but hardly any thing comes up.
Seriously.. look at the swatch?? Pigmentation is RUBBISH!!! you have to use more products to build it up. and in summer that might make the makeup look cakey.

So The fuzzy bit of brown is the canmake eyebrow set, and the line is Rimmel brow pencil

The 2nd column on the top is Revlon colorburst raspberry, bottom is forever raisin. And then the Rimmel Concealer. The concealer is really moisturising, but doesn't have much coverage.

That being said, perfect for under eye area. Brighten the under eye area up and covers a bit of dark circles. If you have really dark eyecircles. then may be you should consider something else.

A Swatch of the lipstick. I don't know what happened, but I suddenly have a Red Lipstick Kick. I was going to buy Revlon Colorburst Crimson, but it looks too dull like a dark brown red. This one (raspberry) is more bright and vibrant. and their True Red shade is too tomato red for my taste.

So you guys have good suggestions to RED LIPSTICKS??please leave me comments

Hey all

Just wanted to do a post on all the things I've been loving 2010. I've seen alot of gurus on youtube have done videos on products of 2010. The best one I think is Emily, Beauty Broadcast. I love her Emily Awards. So I thought I'd do one too, just every thing combined and no skincares just make up. So here they are.

Foundations

I always use the Estee Lauders Double Wear or the Double Wear Light, Even though it's a bit thick and full coverage, I use a sponge and soak it in water then squeeze all water out and apply foundation with the sponge, it makes the foundation sheer and stay on all day. I usually use Laura Mercier Mineral powder to set the liquid foundation.

For Powder Foundation, I use the Cezanne UV EX powder foundation and the Coffret D'or Essence Powder Foundation. This is the 2009 Version. They both are great. the Cezanne one is more coverage and I use the Coffret D'or one to touch up foundation, looks more natural.

Primers

Estee Lauder Cyber White Ex, I've been using this all winter in 2010. Great sunscreen/primer because it gives great sun protection, very moisturising, none drying and it helps with my large pores. The RMK one i use in spring/autumn it has some glitter/shimmer to give that extra glow and soft focus effect. The Orbis UV Cut, I use it in Summer, because it is light and controls oil great Since i have combination skin.

Blush

Nars Deep Throat, My Go-To blush, if i'm in a hurry or don't know what to wear. I usually go for that one as you can see Hit pan already. During Winter, I used Penny Lane cream blush great colour Love it, I some times top it up with another powder blush usually DT. Another great blush I love is the Mac Stereo Rose, Limited Edition. This blush gives the most healthiest Glow and a flush of colour on the face. Flattering on Asian Skin tone too. And The last one is Mac Springsheen, a great spring/summer blush. gives your cheeks that Golden Glow.

I don't think I'm much of a Gloss person, because it is so sticky and always feel there's something on my lips. so I usually wear lip balm and occasionally or when ever I'm going out I will wear lipstick just to be a bit more girly.

- Benefit La La Land ( beautiful rosey colour on Lips) paired with natural eye makeup. LOVE

Been into nails this year, started to explore the different nail colours and brands. And here's the ones I love

- Sephora by OPI metro chic, a beautiful winter colour matches with every thing you wear
- China Glaze For Audrey Pretty and fun summer colour. gives a bright and lively impression.

[]NARS Sheer Glow Foundation REVIEW[]

Hey all

I know I'm late with this, every one has gone through the hype of Nars Sheer Glow already, and has probably died down for all I know. LOL but I just got the chance to try the new foundation, well not so new now, consindering that Chanel just came out with Vitaluimere Aqua. I heard pretty good reviews about that one too as well as the Vitaluimere original one. But pricey as usual.

Any ways, back to NARS... NARS sheer glow came out last year with NARS sheer matte. alot of gurus on youtube and people have review it. you can just type the name in youtube and find bunch of reviews. This foundation comes in a WIDE range of shades to choose from. Though I think more yellow shades than pink ones or even neutral ones. I prefer Neutral shades. Because I don't really know if I'm yellow or pink. thought I think i'm more yellow/neutral ish.

I got matched to the shade in Fiji, in the store lighting it looked perfect, but when I went out side into the natural lighting I had a look. OMG it's darker than my neck and looked horribly orange/yellow. I went back to the store they are nice enough to swap for me even though I lost my receipt. So I got matched again the shade Deauville. Perfect match, not too yellow, orange, too light. matched my neck perfectly too.

- Revlon Color Stay Buff (Sand beige is a bit too dark)

- Dior Extreme Fit in 020 (perfect match)

This is what the packaging and bottle looks like. Unfortunately, the price you pay for doesn't come with a pump. TOTALY RIDICULOUS!!! if you ask me. For all that money you pay for NARS get a pump and a proper LID!!! This rubbery lid annoys me, it stains your finger prints and things on it. gets dirty so easily.

Under Natural Lighting, No Flash a sunny day, but Indoor Lighting.

This is what the foundation looks like poured out of the bottle. quick runny, but creamy.

This is the foundation a bit blended with Filled flash. It looks light here, but will blend out nicely.

This is the foundation blended out. I don't think this foundation is Sheer, It's Medium coverage though You can make it sheer depending on your application. I prefer applying with my fingers, not a brush. Also the foundation feels very creamy. Alot like my Coffret D'or Beauty Essence Foundation in Oc-C. Very similar finish too. Satin Finish with Medium Coverage, and Creamy. Might do a Comparison.

I tested the foundation under water and rubbed my hand. The foundation stays put. So if it rains and the water got on your face. you won't see streaks. But I wouldn't swim with it.

Lets put it to real test shall we?

Here's my bare face, I have combination to oily face. around the centre of my face I get oily but dry on the out side. You care see sun spots around the eye area, and large pores. and acne scars.

So Here it is with the foundation, just one layer of it. NO PRIMERS. NO powder. just let it dry. It covered up my pores and 70% of acne scars and pigmentations I would say. I quite like the finish, Natural enough to let your own skin show through a bit.

This is what it looks like a bit far away. You can still see my pores, but there's no sunscreen or primer. I usually use Estee Lauder Cyber White SPF 50 ++, or Smashbox Photo Finish Primer to fill up the pores to make it smoother.

SO the final picture is 2 layer. I think it starts to cake a bit with two layer. but full coverage.

Covers pretty much every thing I would say. But can definately tell that there's foundation/make up on your face. and Less of the true skin shines through.

Though I would say it does cling on to dry patches a bit. so Moisturise WELL before you apply this. Also if you have super dry skin or dry skin in winter, I would avoid using this. the way it dries is really powdery, that's why it shows the dry patches. but I would think it's good for normal/combination skin. May be oily skin need to blot more.

The lasting powder on me is about 5 hours, It is middle of summer here and pretty humid today. So I might give it another test and see how it goes.

This is an initial review only. Not a long time term one. So I don't know if it will break me out, if I will keep using it. If there's update, I will post again about this foundation

Hey all

How's every one? back to work/school yet? or still on holidays?? well today Im going to do a haul on the Naruko Skincare Range. Naruko is a taiwanese brand developed by a skincare guru who is always on talk shows and advertisements in magazines and things. He's name is Niu Er.. I think he had a phD in skincare or something related. He believes in using natural ingredient and good skincare doesn't have to be breaking wallet EXPENSIVE..

I Totally agree with him. I think those big brands doesn't necessarily mean they are more effective or even good for your skin. I read some of the ingredients to the big brands skincare products, pretty much uses cheap ingredients and lots of chemicals. instead of natural plant extract or something along those lines.

I decided to try this range because I watch the Queen Show. and my skincare products was about to finish so I thought I give something else a try. I saw Fuzkittie gave a review on two of her youtube videos. CLICK []HERE[] and []HERE[]

I have just been trying these products out. So Far LOVE them........

[] Shiseido Anessa Sunscreen Review[]

Hey all
How is every one's New years?? Can't believe how fast 2010 went past. I just hope 2011 doesn't go as fast. Time seems to fly. That being said, I'm now 24 years old. and it's time to start really caring about the skin, prevention is always better than cure.

Sunscreen is a must for me for every day. Because sun damage can cause premature of skin, sun spots and worse skin cancer. Australia's sun is sooo STRONG.. it can do alot of damage in a small amount of time.

Before this sunscreen I had my Estee Lauder Cyber White UV protector SPF 50 PA++. (I love that one, can say it's my HG). Australia can't have sunscreen more than SPF30 due to regulations, So I got mine from overseas.

Today we are just going to review the Shiseido Anessa SPF 42 PA+++
So the SPF number is a number which tells you how much of UVB can be blocked out. UVB causes skin cancer so It is important to block that out. and PA +++ is a number which tells you how much UVA you block out. UVA causes skin maturing, causing fine lines and other damages. the more + the more it will block out.

This is what it looks like when sqeezed out of hand. a creamy white paste cream texture. not too thick easy to spread.
This is a little bit spread out. ( you can see it's quite white) the picture is taken with flash
This is when it is all spread out. It does have a white cast when the picture is taken with flash. But I use it as a foundation primer. It controls oil pretty good, thought not as moisturising as my Estee Lauder one. This sunscreen is good for summer time. but if you have dry skin, may be should avoid it in Winter. I'm not sure about water resistance if you are going to swimming or something. But It is very gentle and suited for sensitive skin. I haven't got any blemishes or spots or red patches. No reaction.

I am pretty happy with this sunscreen/primer. I will recommend it to combination/oily skin people. dry to very dry skin may be should try the Estee Lauder one. more moisturising.

Hey all
How's every one's weekend?? Hopefully christmas shopping has been complete? I still gota go get some photo frames and print off some old photos.

So today is about the new Integrate BE 303 eye shadow. I got this a while ago from AdamBeauty, haven't had a chance to use it yet. I've been mostly using the Visee Nude Glam in N-2. That one is like my go to eyeshadow for every day look.

So i'm on holidays now, just going out with my Bf and and some other friends for dinner. So I thought I would do a FOTD just to see how this pallete turns out. Nothing dramatic, very wearable. Not too much shimmer, but enough to make it look elegant. If that ever makes sense. HAHAHA

So Here's how it turned out. I don't know why my bathroom light is so BLUE..... no idea why. This is taken under natural light in my bathroom , no flash no special effects.

I'm so lazy these days to put contact lenses on, just glasses will do.
So here's the pallete, Integrate BE303. With flash

Here's a swatch of it. I would say this is really close how it looks like in real life. Some how the camera doesn't really pick up the colour once it's on the eyes. beats me why. may be need a DSLR.

And Eyes Closed, You can see the Sheen and sheer colour of the pallete. Kind of Natural, I added the eyeliner to be a bit more dramatic, If I was to wear it during the day. May be just just shadow by it self. And use the dark brown as a liner. More natural.
