Hey all ~~~
I wanted to share what I use as masks and scrubs for once or twice per week depends on how my skin is at the time and what I need.
There are three masks I use which I alternate depends on what my skin need at the time.
- Queen Helena Mint Julep Masque, clears out all the dirt and oil of my pores and makes them stay clean for longer. it really helps. but it scares me that it contains lots of methyl parabens..... so I think after I finish this one I will get the Origins clear improvement mask with the activated charcoal and other natural ingredients.
- The Body Shop Aloe Vera Calming Toner, I just put lots of this on a cotton sheet when I skin gets really sensitive and goes wacko and nothing settles it down. I use this one. really good for hydration and also calming skin down. not too many ingredients so safe for sensitive times.
- Cadalie Vinoperfect Enzymatic Peel Mask, It uses papaya fruit extract and some glycolic acid formulated into a masks which helps to mild exfoliate and reveal brighter complexion. I use this may be once a week or once every two weeks because I got sensitive skin and it might aggravate it if I use this too often.
So there are two scrubs I use.. but I don't use it very often as I have sensitive skin, but I use it some times for my neck and my back.
- CLinique 7 day Scrub Cream, this one is really gentle the beads are round so it doesn't scratch. and I can use this once or twice a week and still fine.
- A'kin Jojo and Corn Gentle Exfoliating Facial Scrub. it contains soothing witch hazel and vitamin B5 which helps with calming the skin and boost skin's healing. this scrub is abit more scratchy. so when I use it I don't use alot of pressure. just spread it around and then leave it there for a while. It has all the natural ingredients. so I really like it and it smells so nice............ so yummy
That's all for my skin care stuff...

Rimmel London Kate Moss lipstick in #20
Hey all ~~
Just wanted to share a bright lipstick I recently bought. It is the new kate moss lipstick in #20 from Rimmel London. It is really really bright pink. I was just wanting to try it out but it is really attention grabbing.
This is what the lipstick looks like and a swatch down below.
The texture is really creamy and smooth. and the pigmentation is really great. super opaque just one swipe you get a really good colour pay off. I think the quality of these lipsticks can match high end ones. and it comes only at a fraction of a cost.
Here's what it looks like on lips. I used Mac's Gentle mineral blush to match the colour of the lipstick as they both have that purple undertone to it.
It is really bold. I think may be only wear it out at night because during day time it is too much for my taste.
hope every one have a great week.

Bourjois 123 Perfect Foundation
Hey all:
I can't really type much today, because went to play badminton today followed by some tennis so now my arm is in pain because I never exercise. hahaha being lazy.
So Just wanted to put my two cents worth on the Bourjois 123 Perfect Foundation. I bought the shade 53 from Europe in middle of summer and then it was too dark for me, So I picked up the 52 when it was half price on Bourjois at Priceline. which fits my NC20-25 skin quite well. though very yellow toned.
This foundation claims to contains 3 concealing pigments, yellow for a rested complexion, mauve to light up the complexion and green to eradicate high colour and uneven tone, It also states it lasts for up to 16 hours.
I took a picture of the ingredient, so you have to click on the image to see the enlarged version.
So here's couple swatches, shade 52 on the left, 53 on the right. I find it a quite big jump in colour. 52 is so much lighter than 53.
Here's what it looks like blended. in natural in door lighting.

Application wise, I just use my fingers to blend I find it easier, I tried it with F80 didn't like the finish. the foundation has quite a big of coverage so a little bit can cover a large area. this foundation is probably about medium to full coverage and it is buildable. It feels like on the skin, it feels like a liquid to powder transformation foundation. it feels quite powdery after it dries. So I think adding more powder on top may look cakey. I tried it without powdering on top it lasted pretty well on me, may be about 6-7 hours.
The lasting power is not 16hrs like the company claims. realistically about 7-8 hours on me, but then again I have combination skin. the finish is quite matte, but not dead looking like Estee Lauder Double Wear. it doesn't make your face look flat. It's quite easy to remove this foundation too, I just use my normal foaming face wash and it comes off, If you feel safer to use a make up remover then you can do so too.
So all in all, I quite like this foundation. but I don't use it every day. but I think its quite good for summer.
have a great weekend every one ~~~

[] FOTD - Illamasqua Complement Palette~~[]
Hey all ~~
hope you had a fantastic weekend. It was beautiful out side yesterday (Saturday) lovely weather. but today is cloudy and windy, a bit chilly so decided to stay home and update my blog post ^^. So here I am ~~
I know it is Spring now in Australia, but I am really not looking forward to Summer. I prefer Autumn. So this eyeshadow palette is perfect for autumn, it gives that brown plummy look totally wearable for every day.
So here's a list of things used for this look:
Face:
- Clinique even better foundation (been using this every day)
- Nars Laguna bronzer
- Nars Oasis blush (love this blush for autumn winter)
- Rimmel Stay matte powder (transparent)
Eyes/Brow:
- Illamasqua Generation Q eyeshadow palette
- Kiss me Heroine eyeliner (liquid)
- Active girl mascara
- MAC brow set in beiguile
Lips:
- Mac Craving lipstick ( LOVE this lipstick !!!)
Here's another look at the palette, I love the plummy brown eyeshadow. the dark purple one is really nice too.
Here's the swatch:(left to right)
- Queen of the Night
- Slink
- Focus (liquid metal)
-Forgiveness
Here's what it looks like: So I used Slink in the inner corners, and brow highlight. Used Focus all over the eyelid for a wash of colour and a base. then I used Forgiveness all over the lid and also all over the lower lashline. Then Queen of nights on the 1/3 outer corner of the eyelid to darker it up. apply the eyeliner and mascara and you are done.
So here's what it looks like finished. I extended my eyeliner out a bit.
Need my glasses to see any thing. hahah ~~
Hope you like this look. take cares all have a great weekend. ~~~

[]Skincare Routine for Sensitive Skin Rescue[]~~
Hey all ~~
I haven't been posting much last month is because I've been testing out alot of the new products. So my skin got really over whelmed, so I had to tone every thing down and go back to things that I know that works with my skin. Gentle yet works to keep my skin.
So What really happened to my skin. it got really sensitive, so red itchy patches. Dry patches and peeling yet had a lot of bumps/white heads on my forehead, cheeks and the chin. Occasionally I got like cystic acne, you know those deep and painful pimples that don't surface but have a big bump. all in all My skin was in the worst state ever. (CRY~~~)
So any ways, It's calming down now. the white heads are going away. So Just going to share a few tips and thoughts about products to help with sensitive skin and crazy skin occasions.
Products used:
Cleansers~~
- Cetaphil Oily skin Cleanser
This is a semi foaming wash, is gentle on skin but also washes away oil and sebum. I use this in the morning just 1-2 pumps is enough and it doesn't strip the oil from my face entirely so it's not tight and dry feeling after.
- Sana Nameraka foaming wash
I use this cleanser at night because it foams really well and dissolves my foundation ( I'm currently using Clinique even better foundation - Oil Free) So this takes off my make up and washes away the daily dirt oil and what not. I've been using this for quite a while. so it is a stable item for me.
Toner~~
- Clinique Mild Clarifying Lotion
This lotion is great, because it contains aloe vera, millet plant extract, biosaccharide gum (type of sugar) and it contains 0.5% salicylic acid. The amount of salicylic acid in this lotion is not too harsh for my skin because I developed quite alot of white heads due to improper exfoliating and using products that's too rich for my skin. So I need a mild exfoliant (not a harsh one that's like sand paper). This lotion helps to remove dead skin cells and salicylic acid works deep down my pore so I stop getting more and more blocked pores.
- The Body shop Aloe Vera Calming toner
I don't use as a toner, but as a mask. So I get those cotton sheets and soak it up with this, and then leave it on my face for 5-10 minutes before going to bed. It calms my skin right down no allergic reactions. It has no fragrance, all natural ingredients so the skin doesn't get all freaked out again. adds a bit of extra moisture as well.
Moisturisers~~~
- Shiseido Senka Lotion (Light Version)
This is formulated with hylauranic acid and royal jelly, but it contains a bit of alcohol. so I normally put it on my palm and rub both hand together wait a bit then put on my face. so the alcohol evaporates. It's not oily, it doesn't contain oil so it doesn't make my white heads worse. It's a stable for me too I think I am on my fourth bottle of this. I really like it.it keeps my face hydrated without feeling oily.
- Melvita Orange Blossom Extraordinary Water
This is a french brand of skincare line, certified Bio organics uses all natural ingredients no animal testing. Great Company. Love them. This is also formulated with hyaluronic acid but it also contains orange blossom and fig fruit extract. But only thing is it contains alcohol but the content of alcohol is not that much because it is quite down on the ingredient list. Love this product, it helps to calm and hydrate the skin. smells wonderful.... like that feeling of walking in a field of orange trees.~~~
That's all for my current skincare routine trying to get my skin back to normal.....
Hope to update more often.
take cares every one, have a great week.

[]Illamasqua Complement Palette - Generation Q[]
Hey all ~~
Haven't posted any thing for over 1 months. Been busy and suffered. actually suffering from an allergic reaction to some product. So still recovering and cutting back on my skincare routine to just some basic items and no chopping and changing.
But the main purpose of this post is to review an item I recently bought from Illamasqua. Thumbs up to them for equal price of beauty products. because in Australia the products are at least 30-50% more expensive compared to rest of the world.
This is the first Illamasqua item I have bought, I was eyeing their lipsticks and blushes but have always restricted my self because I have lots of them at home already. The item is the Complement Eyeshadow Palette from the Generation Q collection.
So the packaging is the Illamasqua signature black packaging, with their logo on the top.
The eyeshadow palette comes in 4 colours.
- Slink: a shimmery Beige ( not glittery)
- Focus: a liquid metal formulation a midtone brown with a sheen
- Forgiveness: a plummy brown
- Queen of the night: a dark purple with black/brown base with fine shimmer
The palette comes with a mirror inside which can be handy.
The colour of Forgiveness shade seems quite plum/pink in the photos but its definitely more of a plum brown in real life. Photos taken in natural indoor lighting with NO FLASH.
Here are some swatches on hand.
I love this palette, I saw a review blog post about it and immediately fell in love and was like " I NEED THIS". It is perfect for fall/winter. also can be used every day if you use a light hand it is beautiful! complements brown eyes so nicely.
you can check out the sites below for more review and swatches.
This palette is also Reviewed Here and Here and Here

[] Nyx round lipstick haul ~~[]
Hey all ~~
Lately I've been on a lipstick kick. wanted to try out different colours, but didn't want to fork out lots of money. and Nyx lipsticks are so affordable, and great quality. reviews say it's like putting butter on your lips. they are right about that. the texture is super soft. and highly pigmented. and it comes in so many oclours.
So I got 6 lipsticks plus one I had from before. so here's my Nyx round lipstick collection:
The lipstick is arranged in the order of ( Left to Right):
- Fig
- Doll
- Thalia
- Indian Pink
- Chaos
- Tea Rose
- Pumpkin Pie
It's smart how they have a swatch of plastic colouring at the bottom of the lipstick, so you know what colour you are looking for. makes think much easier.
So here's the swatches for your guys.
Top Row
Fig, Doll, Thalia, Indian pink
Bottom Row
Chaos, Tea rose, Pumpkin Pie
Above: photo taken with flash
Above: photo taken in natural indoor light
Here's a picture of me wearing Fig.. I like that colour.. not too crazy pink. wearable.
have a great weekend guys.. ~~~

[] Stila Lovely in London Travel Pallete Review & FOTD[]~~
Hey all ~~
I bought the Stila Lovely in London Travel Palette, because the colour really attracted me also the cute packaging. last year I got the Stila travel palette in Haute in the Hamptons. Click HERE to see the review for that.
So the palette is a bit different to other palettes last year is that it flips open vertically. instead of from right to left like a book. but I don't really mind that.
This is what the front looks like.
This is what the colours look like. you got 5 eyeshadow colours and 1 cream covertible colour for lip and cheek. eyeshadow colour:
top = Notting Hill
left = Tower Bridge
right = Duchess
bottom = high street
middle = castle
So for the swatch, top light pink colour is the primrose cream convertible colour.
Then the darkest brown is high street.
then last row from left to right is castle, notting hill, tower bridge and duchess, all colours are matte, except for duchess which is a pearly colour.
For today's FOTD, I used these products:
- Sofina Primavista Perfect Fit foundation in 03
- Nars Laguna bronzer
- Bare Minerals Rose Radiance (as blush) over Primrose
- Urban decay primer potion
- Prestige waterproof eyeliner in black
- Active Girl full long mascara
- Mac Modesty lipstick
- Mac brow gel in begiule
- Stila Lovely in London Palette
So here's what the eye makeup look like.
- used castle all over the lid up to the brow bone
- then notting hill up to the crease
- duchess in the first 1/3 of the top eyelid
- used tower bridge all the way in the lower lashes.
- then used high street as an eyeliner colour for top lid and 1/3 in the outer lower lash
- applied black eyeliner pencil
- top off with mascara and done.
The photos are taken in natural in door lighting. excuse the not groomed eyebrows.
It is actually a really autumn colour, because it's so brown and coppery. I really like it. could be used in summer if you add a bit more gold. I think it suits warm skin tone really well. The primrose convertible colour is a bit too light for my skin tone. I didn't like it on my lips. on my cheeks barely showed up.
here's my normal look with glasses.
I highly recommend you go out there and buy this travel palette, for $16, and it's worth it I think.
Have a great week every one.
P.S. recovering from a cold.

Sigma F80 brush review. ~~~
Hey all ~~~
I wanted to do a brush review today, saw a lot of positive reviews on the Sigma F80 brush for buffing in foundations. So I decided to give it a try because my Everyday Minerals flat top kabuki brush is quite old now. may be about 3 yrs old? but still good. ~~~~
So I bought my brush from the Sigma Website, it came in at about 1 week since the day of order. so the shipment is not bad. It came in the blue cardboard packaging with a pamphlet talking about other brushes in the collection. (see picture below)
So I wanted to compare the Sigma F80 to my Everyday Mineral Flat Top Kabuki brush.
Comparing the two, the handle of F80 is longer, I actually prefer the longer handle. the way you buff while using the brush is different to Everyday Minerals. I feel like i tend to press harder against my skin while using Everyday Minerals.
Fiber wise, both brush have synthetic fibers, super SOFT!!!. the density is quite similar, it's just that the fiber in F80 is shorter than EM flat kabuki. not much shorter though may be about 3 mm.
So this is a top picture to show the fiber density and the size of bristles. so Left is F80 right is EM flat kabuki. sorry its a bit dirty, just used it for my powder foundation.
I like both brushes, can be used for multiple things. liquid foundation, cream foundation, powders, minerals foundation. but I prefer the F80 for liquid foundation. gives a SUPER nice finish!!!. Love it, highly recommended.
Please leave question and comments and tell me what you think about Sigma Brushes, and or other brushes you would recommend me to try.
sigh Monday blue for me ~~~~

[] Gun metal Grey Obsession[] ~~
Hey all ~~~
I am obsessed with this Gun-Metal Colour. a bluey/metallic grey. I think it's such a cool colour where it changes with different lighting. I recently picked up the Benefit crease less cream shadow in Busy Signal and Strut. Busy Signal is a coppery brown colour, where as Strut is the gun metal blue. It can be used as a shadow or eyeliner.
The quality is amazing. I find it better than Mac's Paint pots, and also it lasts on my eyelid without creasing as much as MAC PP. but the product will dry out if you didn't tighten the lid. so I wanted to try this out with a FOTD just to see how it turned out.
List of Items I used for this look:
- Princess Eye Lashes, hand made from taiwan in number 7
- Duo eye lash glue
- Sofina, Primavista powder foundation in Ochre- 03
- Nars Laguna Bronzer
- Bare Minerals Rose Radiance all over face colour
- Urban decay naked palette
- Benefit crease less cream eyeshadow in Strut
- Mac brow set in Beigule
- Mac Craving lipstick
- Prestige waterproof eyeliner in black
- Urban decay primer potion
- Maybelline Colloso Mascara( forgot to put in the picture)
Above: taken under natural indoor lighting
Here's some swatches:
- top is Bare Minerals Rose Radiance as blush
- Urban decay Sin all over the lid
- Urban Decay Gun Metal in the crease
- Benefit Strut as base.
- Mac Craving lipstick
Above: photo taken with flash
Here's what the whole face looks like. I think it's quite dramatic. Probably an evening look too much for me during the day.
A closer look at the ye make up. The eye lashes looks quite natural. not as dramatic as I though.
The colour is more dramatic in real life.
Probably get more use out of Busy Signal even though strut is such a pretty colour I feel like it is too cool toned for my warm yellow toned skin. What do you all think?
Have a great weekend every one ^^
