[] All About Coral~~~[]

Hey All~~~~~~~~~~

How's every one's weekend?? It was beautiful weather in Sydney, and really wished it was summer so I can hit the beach, instead it's in middle of winter.. so cold......... But the trend of summer now in Northern Hem is coral....... hence the title... ^^

I just wish summer could get there faster............ I love coral colours. being an Asian, having yellow toned skin, corals suits me better than pinks. I find that it's harder to pull of a bubblegum pink lipstick or a dolly pink blush. But as for Coral colours, straight away lifts the face, and make me look brighter. I stopped buying dolly pink things........... It looks so nice swatched on hand, but when I apply it on my face.. just doesn't work how I wished it did.

Giving a few examples of pink items that are hard for me:
- Mac Angel Lipstick
- Mac Please me Lipstick
- Mac Pink swoon blush
- Nars Angelika blush
- Maybelline pink please lipstick


So that being said, I picked out a few favourite coral coloured items which is great for summer, or any time of the year when you feel a bit coraly........

I start off with Lipsticks:
- Bobbi Brown lipcolor in Salmon
- Bobbi Brown rich lipcolor in Soft Coral
- Revlon colorburst in Peach
- Barry M lip paint 147 peachy pink


This is what they look like under natural indoor lighting.
Then onto the blushes:
Bronzer in summer is always great to give you that healthy glow........ but blushes can add a bit more of a colour to your face.
- Mac MSF in Stereo Rose ( got this some time last year) so bad that it's limited edition.
- Mac cream blush in Lilicent. (going to be discontinued, there will be similar colour coming out with new formula)
- Nars Luster
There are other great coral coloured blushes out there. you don't have to go and rush out pay so much for mac's products of Nars..


So here are some swatches for you.
Top(L to R):
- Salmon lip color
- Soft Coral rich lip color
- Peach
- Barry M 147 peachy pink

Bottom (L to R):
- Mac stereo rose
- Mac lilicent
- Nars Luster

My favourite lip color have to be Soft Coral.......... just a pretty colour without being neon like the Barry M 147, peach is a similar colour but slightly pinker.. some times I apply soft coral directly to the lips and then blot with a tissue paper to give that natural lip with hint of coral..
Second favourite is Salmon....... a more nude coral but still pretty.............

My favourite coral blush probably Nars Luster, not really truely a coral but an apricot with gold shimmers. I add a bit more of a pink on top some times. so it doesn't seem so orange.

Some times Orange toned blush can look gorgeous, but I really dont know how to pull it off............

[] Simple Coffret D'or FOTD~~[]

Hey all.~~
Just wanted to do a simple FOTD.
can't believe it's already May... saw lots of April's favourites video on youtube. LOL.

So here's a list of things that I used for this look. just a simple day look.

Face:
- Estee Lauder Double Wear light in intensity 01 (my second tube)
- Maquillage Powder Foundation
- Rimmel highlight concealer ( LOVE THIS STUFF!!)
- Nars Deep Throat blush. (hit pan and nearly finished)

Eyes:
-Coffret D'or Pallete in 04
- Mac powerpoint liner in duck
- Majorlica Majorca Lash Expander

Lips:
- Revlon Colorburst in Mauve (new favourite lipstick)


The packaging is classic. Very nice for a drugstore brand. thought a bit expensive if you buy it in priceline. I got mine online for $6.00 USD. HAHAHA


So here's some swatches. THe left side is only applied once. so you can pack on the colour and the right is a heavier swatch.This is my bare lips. ugly T___T

This is what the lipstick looks like on lips in natural lighting.


So for eyes, use the light colour of the coffret d'or pallete as highlight. use the blended colour as all over the lid. then use Mac eyeliner to line your eyes. I didn't care if it was a messy line or not because you go over the liner with the dark brown colour from the pallete.


Apply Mascara to both bottom and top lashes.

Put on some blush. dab on the revlon lipstick.
and you are good to go.

Need to fix up my eyebrows.. hahaha it's becoming unruly LOL..

Hey all ~~~

How is everyone's weekend?? Been good so far?? I know alot girls are suited to Nude Lips, but Nude lips best suits smokey eyes, or a heavy eye makeup so that the lips has less attention to avoid contradictions.

For me I hardly wear smokey eye look, I'm more a earthy toned, natural kind of look person. So I concentrate more on Blush and Lips.

These days I'm on a Berry Colour HIT, hint the post name. Love all Berry coloured things. If you have any good suggestions as to what good berry coloured products out there. Please tell me. would love to try it out.

Featured Products today is Mac's Lipgelee in Moistly. Looks Gothic in the tube but comes out a pretty berry colour. The next item is Revlon's Super Lustrous lipstick in Ginger Rose. And my HG blush for the winter is Mac Mineralized Blush in Gentle.

First of all I need to apologise because I haven't been updating for like the past 2 weeks??
The reason being that I was going for Med Exam trying to ge into Med School. That's finally over. It was dreadful and mentally challenging. 11 hours examination process. Killed my brain... like I think I had hardly any brain cells left by the end of the day... and still recovering from that LOL.. T___T

Any ways. that a side. I broke up with my BF, because things didn't work out between us.~~ and it's been just dragging on So I finally decided to end it.. ~~~now I kinda feel reliefed ..

So I was looking around and saw really pretty blue green mix of colours. very refreshing so I thought I might do a look just with blue/green...

I stole the eyeshadow from my mum. she had a duo pallete from REvlon that's half green half blue. I donno what is it, it's old and the cover's breaking and it's like REALLY OLD LOL..~~~

Um. today's just a quick FOTD update I guess, nothing special.

Wondering how it turned out?? I think Average.>__< Nothing exciting but kind of wearable for outtings. I kinda like this look.. hehehe

Here you can see the nice eyeshadow I think may be the color is not dark enought to match the one from the photo T___T and I LOVE the MAC MSF ~~ you have to get it if youdon't have it already ~~

Delayed Updated.. ~~~

Hey all ~~

I haven't been updating for like more than half months.. sorry T___T my computer died on me for some reason. guess I was playing too much Everquest 2 LOL.. ~~ I'm a gamer I admit.....

Any ways. I had all these pictures taken but I had to retake them and then upload them again.

So here's what I got from the days I haven't been updating.. The two type of masks I got is from a quite famous Asian brand I think. It says on the package that it's called My Beauty Diary. ~~ They have all kinds of different paper masks. The pink one is Red Wine Mask, which whitens and firms the skin also provides antioxidant properties too. It's made from Red Wine esscess I guess grape concentrate?? not too sure.

You put it on for 20-30 minutes and WOW I love the effect. makes my skin fells soft and my pores looked smaller and it does firm. not too sure about whitening yet. It smells nice too.

The blue is Sake Yeast Mask, made from yeast extract which helps to whiten, hydrates /moisturises and enhance the skin growth mechanism like makes your skin replacement faster which helps to get rid of acne scars I guess?? That's what the shop assistant said LOL.. ~~ Haven't try this one yet. I think they have all kinds of masks for different purposes.

Another thing I got was the NEW Revlon Age Defying Spa foundation. I got this in Pale the lightest shade they have. I saw some review on Makeup Alley and said it is really good. I was a bit unsure, because most products for aged skin are usually very moisturising and not suited to my combination/oily skin. But some people said it is really good even for comb skin. So I bought it.

It claims to have contain Vitamin C which revitalises tired skin and micro pearlised particles to give you that GLOW look. It has light - medium coverage non-cakey. I've been using this for about 2 weeks now. No break outs no funny things growing out.

This is not a DEAD MATTE finish, a dewy kinda finished which looks pretty good I think. I have swatches on my hand so you can see. texture is not too thick, easy to spread and you can always add more if you want more coverage and it doesn't cake up. I set it with Mac MSF Natural and good to go. but after about 4 hours start to get oily and then I just blot and look as good as NEW. ~~~

It's staying power is pretty good too not as LONG as the Revlon Colorstay Foundation with softplex but this stays on for about 7-8 hours no problem. As for the brush It's actually pretty soft washable. I heard people wash it in brush cleanser and then with alochol to get rid of germs. I Don't use the brush I use my fingures..

This foundation is not that hard to clean. Revlon Colorstay is like PAINT, you have to use make up remover like cleansing oils then face wash, even then you get some left when you wipe your face with your toner. For this one it's easy.

I think this foundation is like Estee Lauder Double Wear Light foundation, except it's a dewy finish instead and doesn't stay as LONG. If you are looking for a cheaper option go EL DW Light, this is the one to go for. pretty gentle on skin too. Feels really light Not like a layer of PAINT on your face.

Hey all
I've seen videos on youtube from people stating their best 6 lip products. So I thought I wanna do it too, though I'm not officially tagged or any thing but I want to share my thoughts on lip products.. so ^___^

The review & recommendations

1. Lancome Juicy Tubes

One of my first lip products, I got it years ago but only use it in special times because I remember it was REALLY expensive back then and the colour should be melon but not too sure because it got rubbed off. any ways, the texture is glossy, smells nice, show a hint of colour so you can still see your natural lip colour. It's great for a natural everyday look. Also it's handy to bring it around. The best I like about it is the applicator, it fits perfectly.

2. Revlon Superlustious Lip Colour in Soft Suede

This is one of my first lip stick, like my first ever lip stick. I love the colour soft suede, if you have a chance go to the shop and have a look. It's a rosy red/coral colour, not too strong it's beautiful really complements yellow toned skin I think. This colour matches and brings out the vibrant colour of my own lips. texture wise, never too dry never too oily. ( lol sounds like the Kraft peanut butter commercial). It stays on pretty well, but it's not transfer proof so if you kiss your bf, it will show on him =p

3. Everyday Minerals lip treatment gloss

I got this with my everyday minerals purchase, I wanted to dry it because the reviews on Makeupally was good. I got it in the colour plum dust. I love this colour. it's a soft plum not too brown not too red love it. The colour shows up pretty good, but it's not exactly a gloss, atleast I wouldn't call it a gloss. the exact texture is like your average lipbalm + colour. The best thing about this is it helps nourishes your lips while giving you a hint of beautiful colour. It feels exactly like a lipbalm on the lips but the only bad thing is it doesn't stay that long.

4. Shiseido Integrate lipgloss

I got this one recently from a website called Ichibankao, along with eyeshadow palletes, sunscreen and other things. I love this, it's so shimmery it's EXTREMELY pretty over a lipstick because it has very fine shimmery glitter which adds to that shine it already has. The applicator is really cool, it's a flat piece of rubbery plastic which has a hole in the middle for the product to come out and applies easily never messy. And the thing about this one is it's REWINDABLE, by that I mean if you twist too much product out, you can twist it back never waste any. GENIUS!!!

5. Revlon lipgloss in nude lustre

This is one of my fav lip products because it has the best texture in gloss, has a brush applicator. Not sticky and the colour nude lustre is gorgeous, would suit any one with any look. It has no shimmer just glossy. Love it.. you have to try it..~~~

6. MAC lipstick in Jublee

My first MAC lipstick. Why I picked this colour?? because I was looking for a browny/pinky colour to be specific I think it's a nude beige pink colour. But I hate MATTE finish lipsticks, does absolutely NOTHING for the lips. this is a lustre finish, so it's sheer in a way but the colour pay off is good. you can say it's like a semi-glossy finish. I love this colour it helps as a final step to make me look awake, not too BROWN.. just the right amount of shades to make the perfect lipstick. I bring this one everywhere with me. I found that the revlon soft suede might be a bit too bright for winter/autumn use. This is a PERFECT colour for winter/autumn I think. Though a PLUM colour would suit winter too. But go swatch it if you pass a MAC stand..

One last product I would recommend for those have chappie lips, use SOFTLIPS made by Mentholatum, I have it in alot flavours my favourite is the Rasberry one =p. Orange one is not bad either.

Burnt French Toast (O___o)???

Hey everyone;

I was having trouble naming this post until I had an idea.. hehe I'm sure you will be wondering What's up with the post name?? well, let me explain, firstly you toast your bread in the toastor right?? then you went away to do something else and when you heard ur smoke alarm went off you know that ur toast has been BURNT!!!.. So burnt french toast will produce smoke.. therefore this post will be about the brown neutral smoking eye look with nude lips.

This look was inspired by a youtube guru named Lollipop26 I'm sure everyone knows her right?? So yeah she recently bought the MAC holiday smoking pallete, I was going to purchase it but I decided not to because I thought I wouldn't really do a blue/grey smokey probably brown is more of my colour and I got the Coastal Scent's neutral 28 pallete at home already so might as well use that up before I purchase any thing else.

SO here's the things I used.


Eyes:
Coastal Scents 28 neutral pallete (left to right)
4th row-2nd, 4th row-3rd, 4th row-6th, 4th row-7th.

L'oreal liquid liner in mica black
Maybelline define a lash mascara

Face:
Revlon colorstay foundation in sand beige
MAC mineralised skinfinish duo
NARS laguna bronzer
MAC sheertone blush in Blushbaby

Lips: ( I forgt to include in the picture)
Mac Myth lipstick
Mac Cherish lipstick
Apply myth first as a base not too much and then top it up with cherish. I think it looks pretty nude already... Myth on its own is just too much for me ...

So Lets take a close look first???hehe love the glow on my cheek.. WOOT and the effect of lighting is so perfect ^___^ happy happy..

A look at the eyeshadow?/ I picked the colors that has a satin shimmery finish.. and a dark brown matte color on the crease and then used the black for close to eyelash part.

SO an overall face effect?? ( I tied up my hair, and pinned up my bangs...)

Looks different to how i usually look.....

So that's about it, it's a such simple look but turned out pretty well I think... may be the lips could be a bit more nude.. Not too sure but I tried with myth alone, made me so washed out.. So yeah.. .. Hope you guys like it as much as I did.
