 Hey all ~~
I purchase Luna Apocolips when I was in UK. I don't think Australia has this shade I'm afraid, I haven't seen it in priceline or any thing. This is a lovely peachy/orange shade something that I'm obsessed with. just ordered The Balm's Frat Boy blush too. was tossing between that one or Mac's Melba. any ways.

So the product comes like a lipgloss but its a liquid lipstick. its none sticky. the colour is really opaque. covers your natural lip colour. but ofcourse you can apply sheer and blend it out. gives you that coral lip really nice. I like the texture the colour. the only thing is it doesn't stay very long on my lips even when i don't eat or drink. so have to reapply many times.

So here's some swatches. the top applied sheer, bottom applied thick. so photo above is with flash.

Photo above taken in natural indoor lighting. I think this can be used as blush as well. It's got that creamy consistency. so if you apply it sheer it can be a multi purpose product blush and lippie in one.

Here's a photo of me using Luna, hope you enjoy your apocolips too. if you haven't tried them, highly recommended.

[]Skincare of acne, bumpy skin curing []~~~

 Hey all ~~
In the beginning of the year I was in UK, the weather was dry, cold and radiation heater was on all the time in the room while I'm sleeping too. so my skin was SOOOO dry, super dehydrated. and with the microcracks, it developed small small bumps from the weather and  trying out different skincare items. When I got back to Australia after two months later. my skin was freakin out because it is summer here.

I had really bad acne, bumps all over my face. I tried so many things. went to doctor got on low dosage minocycline tablets for 2 months, along with Duac (benzyl peroxide 5% and antibiotics combination). It didn't work. made my skin even more drying and it got to a point where it hurts so much. my self esteem hit ROCK BOTTOM. was crying because I felt like every one was looking at my skin and thinking how horrible it is. some friends even joke about my skin ..... Not a very pleasant time to go through. Slathering on make up to cover it up. it was SOOO bad.

So I went on internet and did some research, what kind of products for my skin problems. so I have dry dehydrated skin, that has blocked pores with lots of cystic acne as well as small small bumps from allergic reaction to some skincare products i was trying out in UK.

So the first IMPORTANT thing I learnt was to stick to a skincare regime, because your skin doesn't know what to do when you keep chopping and changing products. So here's what I came up with and after about 4 months. my skin completely cleared up there's were still alot of acne scars but not active pimples and acne. and now about 6 months later. my scars has faded. and skin has calm down no more break outs only occasional one or two during that time of the months.

 First step is cleanse:
I use the bioderma sensio water for getting rid of make up. but I find that AVOCADO OIL does a better job at removing makeup. or EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL. just put some on the cotton pad and then wipe all the make off. it takes off my estee lauder double wear.

So then to get rid of that oily feeling i use SUKIN GENTLE CLEANSING GEL. it is an Australian organic vegan brand. I have so many of their products love it all. its a foaming gel but not drying no SLS, no paraben its so gentle on my skin too. I use this morning and evening, and three a week i use it with my clarisonic at night.

So the next thing I use is ESTEE LAUDER's ANR SERUM, it is an amazing serum, it didn't flare up my skin even more. it adds moisture and it repairs my skin, it soothes my angry PIMPLES, it calms down my skin and tone down the redness. its a long time staple in my skincare.

OKAY, here's the PART where it has helped me really cleared up my acne. scrubbing my skin using beads or scrubs out there makes my skin worse!. and hurts. no matter hot gentle they claim. its not gentle enough. so I found PAULA's CHOICE 2% BHA products. I have it in GEL and LIQUID formula. I started with LIQUID it was really strong. my skin was peeling so I got the GEL, which was not as strong but it has a weird texture.  so what I did was mix HADALABO SHA 3 drops plus 3 drops of CIRACLE C-20 (20% Vitamin C concentration) all over the face. the products has a pH of 3.5 which is required for it to work.

The CIRACLE C-20 is an acidic solution contains 20% of Vitamin C which is really strong. this product is SOOOO popular in KOREA. and what I do is mix it in with the HADALABO. it helped lighten my acne scaring and mild exfoliation. when you first start using it may be only put 1 drop with moisturiser or toner. then slowly increase the amount.

so I read that BHA are the best chemical exfoliate for cleaning out things in the pores to prevent pimples. and it also helps to prevent future pimples. No skincare will work overnight if it does then its only temporary effect. after about 2 weeks continuing using AHA products morning and night. I can see that my current pimples were going away and less of the new ones coming up. The other product I use to aid the treatment of scaring is PAULA's CHOICE 8% AHA GEL. This stings a bit when you first put it on, but I heard that it helps with the shedding of top skin layer therefore help to reduce acne scarring. still testing it out though. the results are as significant as CIRACLE C-20.

Hope this post help those of you that suffers from acne.. Best of of luck ~~ don't let any body bring you down, because what is inside that counts............ if you have further questions. you can email me.

[] Products I Would Repurchase~~~[]

 Hey all ~~~
I wanted to share with every one products that I have or would repurchase. So its from skincare/haircare to makeup items. Some of the products I have repurchased and has been in the stash for years. I won't go into too much detail but would tell you briefly what I think about them.

 Left to Right:
- Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair serum
I love this stuff. So crazily expensive, but worth every penny, it helps fade my acne scars. My skin tone has changed after 2 months of using this. skin stays hydrated less oily. and repairs damage when you sleep just wonderful. Have a back up of 50 mL ready to be used up.

- Bioderma sensibio micellar solution
removes all my foundations even the most long lasting ones (estee lauder double wear, revlon colorstay) and waterproof eyemakeup. gentle on the skin no weird smell. it can be washed away with water. just brilliant.

- Clinique 7 day scrub
I use this scrub once or twice a week. just does the job without irritating my sensitive skin.

- Klorane dry shampoo with oat milk
This is what I use every other day because I wash my hair once every 2 days. It gives volume back to the hair, and doesn't make it oily. looks like you just washed your hair. convenient and easy to use. no funky weird artificial smell. bought this countless amount of times.

- Queen Helene, Mint Julep masque
This is a purifying/clarifying mask, the type that contains clay or kaolin to draw out the dirt and oil in the pores. it says helps to dry up acne/pimples, rise away blackheads and shrink pores.
I find it do make my pores cleaner and it does draw out the impurities stuck in my pores. I use this once or twice a week. This is my 2nd or 3rd tube already.

- Caudalie Divine Oil
This stuff is amazing!!!can be used as oil in the summer for an overall glowing skin when you are taking sun bath. can be used as facial oil for massages and things. can be used as hair oil. SMELLS SOOO GOOD. I use this as hair oil, it doesn't make my hair look oily or stuck together, it makes it look healthy and shiny. and smells so good. made from natural ingredients. would do review of this individually.

- Mac Brow Set gel in beiguile
Bought this may be 3 times, its just the most easiest thing to use. It grooms and fills in my brows at the same time. no hassle, no clean up. provide a bit of tint. just pure love.

- Estee lauder Double Wear foundation
I use this all the time when I need extra coverage. when going out at night or even to some weddings and places where I need my foundation to just STAY PUT all day. and this does, with no fuss. no streakiness, melting mess, no patchiness or even oxidizing to some crazy orange/dark face. Just simple great. But have to remove this stuff really good at night because it sticks to your face until you get it off. I think this is my third bottle?

- Dr Jart Silver Label BB cream
this is my 2nd repurchase. I reviewed this long time ago. years back. great coverage! lasts a long time. beneficial for the skin, contains sunscreen. just great all in one product. I put this one when I am in a hurry or just a simple brunch / quick run out to the shops. would recommend this BB cream. I also love the Missha Perfect Cover BB cream. these two are equivalent in my book.

- Laura Mercier Mineral Foundation (Loose)
I love this stuff, I use it as my setting powder for my foundation, it gives the nicest glow and a bit of extra coverage. So your face don't look flat. Its just more of a natural product, not overly matte or shimmery like Bare Minerals. I'm up to my 3rd Jar of this stuff. and the Jar is HUGE!!!

 - Mac Lipsticks
Okay, This is the part where I have never finished a Mac lipstick because I have all these other lipsticks I need to finish up. But the creme sheen formular is AMAZING, I got Modesty, Fanfare and I wanna try other shades. I also love the shade Cravings. nicest berry/pink colour for atumn/winter.

- Revlon Lip Butters
Do I even need to say any thing about this? Its ALL over the beauty community. The shades I like are Berry Smoothie and Raspberry Pie. LOVE.....~~~~~~~~~~

- Bobbi Brown Color Rich Lipsticks
crazy pigmentation and just wears really well. the two I have is Crimson (super dark vampy lips) and Soft Coral ( all time favourite for summer/spring)

- Rimmel Apocolips
My new favourite, liquid lipstick with a bit of glossy finish, none sticky lasts really well. colours are amazing. review post coming up. but the shade Luna is my favourite haven't tried the BOLD red colours, but will give it a go .

- Kiss me Heorine Volume & Curl
HG macara. bought it so many times lost count already, replace this every couple months so bacteria don't accumulate. it stays all day. no smudges!! just great. gives my lashes lots of volume and holds curl perfectly too.

- Rimmel Scanleyes
This pencil/gel eyeliner is so crazily good. so pigmented. can be smudged when you just apply it, when its set. it doesn't even budge. just great!! new discovery. pick it up in UK for 3.99 pounds

- Mac powerpoint liner
Got the shade in DUCK, just LOVE, long lasting. no fuss. highly recommended, a bit more expensive though.

- Mac fluidline
Love this stuff, I think mine has dried up already. so I need to get a new one may be. I got this in blacktrack and macroviolet. its great for waterline doesn't move non-irritating. just have to close the lid tightly after use so it doesn't get dried up.

Would love to know what products you would repurchase.~~~~~~

Happy Monday.

[] Top 10 Brushes ~~[]

 Hey all ~~~
Just wanted to update you with some brushes that I use all the time, may be not all at once but alternating for different occasions. Some are for foundations, some are for cheek products, and others are for eye makeup.

Here's a photo of some face brushes.

Left to Right:
- Everyday Minerals Kabuki Brush
I had this brush ever since when Everyday Minerals first came out, many years back. I use it to buff in mineral foundations (EDM, Bare minerals or laura mercier). It is great, it has a short handle so it fits in a make up bag without taking too much space. application wise it is great, evenly distribute product and super soft on the face.

- Everyday Minerals Stippling Duo Fiber brush
This brush I use to apply cream blush or blush that's really pigmented, or a light layer of powder to set my foundation. its super soft high quality, the handle is a bit long though.

- Everyday Minerals Plush Mineral Brush
This brush I bought it because the shape, it can be used to apply powder ( which I some times do) or blush. I find to work excellent with cream blush!!. except the handle is a bit long so hard to travel with.

- Real Techniques Expert Face Brush
I LOVE this brush, if you haven't got it yet. I suggest you go out there and buy it. Its great for every thing! mineral/liquid foundation, blush, bronzer or powder you name it. its not a round brush its an oval shape, which is what I LOVE about it. because it gets to every corner and the natural contour of the face around your nose, side of the temple and things. Its super soft and just the right amount of bristle density. pure love.

- Sigma F80 Flat Top Kabuki Brush
I ran out and bought this brush after the hype of beauty community, stating that it applies foundation of any sort with great ease. I would have to agree with that. But it applies powder quite heavily and gives alot more coverage due to the fact that the bristles are so dense and they are flat. so most powder would land where you initially touch the face. For none thick liquid foundation application it is wonderful. So streaks and its super quick application. time saving.~~~ plus its super soft on the skin. highly recommended.

- Ecotools blush brush
I use this everyday to apply my blush without fail. its easy to use, easy to clean. Not the SOFTEST brush out there, but soft enough for blush application. the quality is pretty good. wash it countless times and its still good.

Top to Bottom
- Kose Visee Cream Eyeliner brush
I use this to apply gel liners like mac fluidline type of eyeliner. Its super easy, stiff enough so its not flimsy. but not SCRATCHY and hurting your eyes type. It also comes with a little cap to protect the brush. It easy to clean and store. Just makes my life much easier. This came with the Visee liner I bough.

Special Edition Mac Brushes from a limited set of brushes. Forgot what collection it was.

- Mac 275SE
I use this to blend my eyeshadow, it is made from natural hair, I actually prefer synthetic brushes. But the size and shape its just perfect for that purpose.

- Mac 219SE Pencil brush
this brush is usually used for all purpose. I find it i use it to blend eyeliners out.. smudge eyeshadows on the bottom of the eye. just good to have around. thought don't reach for it as often as the 275.

- Mac  212SE
I use this to apply eyeshadow dry or wet as an eyeliner as oppose to gel liners. It can also be used to apply eyeshadow for the bottom eyelash area because its so flat. It's a stiff brush but not scratchy and not too hard. so It's gentle enough to be used that way.

Thats my top brushes that I use all the time.

Would love to hear what are your favourite brushes.

Have a great weekend. ~~~

Bourjois 123 Perfect Foundation

 Hey all:
I can't really type much today, because went to play badminton today followed by some tennis so now my arm is in pain because I never exercise. hahaha being lazy.

So Just wanted to put my two cents worth on the Bourjois 123 Perfect Foundation. I bought the shade 53 from Europe in middle of summer and then it was too dark for me, So I picked up the 52 when it was half price on Bourjois at Priceline. which fits my NC20-25 skin quite well. though very yellow toned.

This foundation claims to contains 3 concealing pigments, yellow for a rested complexion, mauve to light up the complexion and green to eradicate high colour and uneven tone, It also states it lasts for up to 16 hours.

I took a picture of the ingredient, so you have to click on the image to see the enlarged version.

So here's couple swatches, shade 52 on the left, 53 on the right. I find it a quite big jump in colour. 52 is so much lighter than 53.

Here's what it looks like blended. in natural in door lighting.

Application wise, I just use my fingers to blend I find it easier, I tried it with F80 didn't like the finish. the foundation has quite a big of coverage so a little bit can cover a large area. this foundation is probably about medium to full coverage and it is buildable. It feels like on the skin, it feels like a liquid to powder transformation foundation. it feels quite powdery after it dries. So I think adding more powder on top may look cakey. I tried it without powdering on top it lasted pretty well on me, may be about 6-7 hours.

The lasting power is not 16hrs like the company claims. realistically about 7-8 hours on me, but then again I have combination skin.  the finish is quite matte, but not dead looking like Estee Lauder Double Wear. it doesn't make your face look flat. It's quite easy to remove this foundation too, I just use my normal foaming face wash and it comes off, If you feel safer to use a make up remover then you can do so too.

So all in all, I quite like this foundation. but I don't use it every day. but I think its quite good for summer.

have a great weekend every one ~~~

[] Stila Lovely in London Travel Pallete Review & FOTD[]~~

 Hey all ~~
I bought the Stila Lovely in London Travel Palette, because the colour really attracted me also the cute packaging. last year I got the Stila travel palette in Haute in the Hamptons. Click HERE to see the review for that.

So the palette is a bit different to other palettes last year is that it flips open vertically. instead of from right to left like a book. but I don't really mind that.

This is what the front looks like.

This is what the colours look like. you got 5 eyeshadow colours and 1 cream covertible colour for lip and cheek. eyeshadow colour:
top = Notting Hill
left = Tower Bridge
right = Duchess
bottom = high street
middle = castle

So for the swatch, top light pink colour is the primrose cream convertible colour.
Then the darkest brown is high street.
then last row from left to right is castle, notting hill, tower bridge and duchess, all colours are matte, except for duchess which is a pearly colour.

For today's FOTD, I used these products:
- Sofina Primavista Perfect Fit foundation in 03
- Nars Laguna bronzer
- Bare Minerals Rose Radiance (as blush) over Primrose
- Urban decay primer potion
- Prestige waterproof eyeliner in black
- Active Girl full long mascara
- Mac Modesty lipstick
- Mac brow gel in begiule
- Stila Lovely in London Palette

So here's what the eye makeup look like.
- used castle all over the lid up to the brow bone
- then notting hill up to the crease
- duchess in the first 1/3 of the top eyelid
- used tower bridge all the way in the lower lashes.
- then used high street as an eyeliner colour for top lid and 1/3 in the outer lower lash
- applied black eyeliner pencil
- top off with mascara and done.

The photos are taken in natural in door lighting. excuse the not groomed eyebrows.
It is actually a really autumn colour, because it's so brown and coppery. I really like it. could be used in summer if you add a bit more gold. I think it suits warm skin tone really well. The primrose convertible colour is  a bit too light for my skin tone. I didn't like it on my lips. on my cheeks barely showed up.

here's my normal look with glasses.

I highly recommend you go out there and buy this travel palette, for $16, and it's worth it I think.

Have a great week every one.
P.S. recovering from a cold.

Sigma F80 brush review. ~~~

 Hey all ~~~
I wanted to do a brush review today, saw a lot of positive reviews on the Sigma F80 brush for buffing in foundations. So I decided to give it a try because my Everyday Minerals flat top kabuki brush is quite old now. may be about 3 yrs old? but still good. ~~~~

So I bought my brush from the Sigma Website, it came in at about 1 week since the day of order. so the shipment is not bad. It came in the blue cardboard packaging with a pamphlet talking about other brushes in the collection. (see picture below)

So I wanted to compare the Sigma F80 to my Everyday Mineral Flat Top Kabuki brush.

Comparing the two, the handle of F80 is longer, I actually prefer the longer handle. the way you buff while using the brush is different to Everyday Minerals. I feel like i tend to press harder against my skin while using Everyday Minerals.

Fiber wise, both brush have synthetic fibers, super SOFT!!!. the density is quite similar, it's just that the fiber in F80 is shorter than EM flat kabuki. not much shorter though may be about 3 mm.

So this is a top picture to show the fiber density and the size of bristles. so Left is F80 right is EM flat kabuki. sorry its a bit dirty, just used it for my powder foundation.

I like both brushes, can be used for multiple things. liquid foundation, cream foundation, powders, minerals foundation. but I prefer the F80  for liquid foundation. gives a SUPER nice finish!!!. Love it, highly recommended.

Please leave question and comments and tell me what you think about Sigma Brushes, and or other brushes you would recommend me to try.

sigh Monday blue for me ~~~~

~~[]Senka BB cream review[]~~

 Hey all
Today, wanted to review the Shiseido Senka Mineral Water BB Cream UV  SPF41 +++
I bought recently bought this BB cream before I headed off to Europe, It has SPF of 41 PA+++ so it's great for summer. also it comes with two colours, a bright shade and a healthy shade. I got the darker one a bit more natural on my face I think. as well as in summer I get a tan any ways.

This BB Cream is refreshing, non-sticky, long lasting and has a super light texture. Another unique feature of the BB Cream is that you don’t even have to do double cleansing – just a foam cleanser will be able to wash it off. Using also double potency Acid Hyaluronic, this BB Cream keeps skin hydrated, refresh, without any burden to the skin.

This BB cream also is formulated with  special powder which gives that great coverage with out looking cakey or heavy. The product packaging is great because it's a plastic tube, hygienic and light to carry around.
can just through in your make up bag and not worrying about dropping it and breaking it and all that sort of mess.

On my skin it feels like I'm wearing something I wouldn't say it feels light but it's not heavy either. It doesn't have great oil control abilities so may be not for oily skin. I got combination some times comb/dry skin. It contains skin moisturizing ingredients so I think it's suited for all year round if you have normal dry skin. In summer I found this to be a bit heavy, the staying power is not too bad if I didn't sweat like crazy it would last about 4-5 hours in summer, in winter weather it lasts longer around 6-7 hours but I set it with a powder.

This is what the BB cream looks like after squeezed our from the tube.

It spreads easily and feels really watery, don't really have a scent. For Ingredient list please check out this site: []HERE[]

Here's a look at my bare face >___<
please forgive the redness- the large pores the freckles the acne scars you name it.

Here's an After picture with out any powder or concealer. Pictures are taken in natural indoor bathroom light without any flash.

I think it covers my redness and pores quite well, but it still didn't cover my freckles, I mean I don't really mind it looks a more natural looking face. It also gives that glow/radiant feel to the skin so I would say a Semi matte finish. which I like.

It hasn't break me out, and no allergic reactions. I quite like this. The most thing i LOVE about this is that it can be rinsed clean with just normal foaming face wash, no need make up remover. that's a plus point for me.

I bought this on Adambeauty.com. any questions just leave in comment section.

P.S. yes weekend soon.. can't wait.

have a great one every body

[] Current Skincare Items []~~~~

 Hey all
Just wanted to do an update skincare items that I am using now. I had a really bad allergic reaction recently and it took me AGEs to calm my skin down. and get rid of all the little little bumps . It was terrible. Until now there's still some pigmentation on my face.

Any ways. So these items are the ONLY things that I use day and night, every day. no fancy multiple step of putting so many things on my face. seems to over supplement the skin and causing it not to know what to do any more.

Skin Condition:
combination all year round - except for summer I become combination oily. So I don't need lot of moisturiser to keep my face hydrated.

Cleansers:
The only two cleansers that are HG in my skincare routine is Origins Check and Balances, and the Sana Nameraka foaming cleanser. Both are foaming cleansers, they give you that squeaky clean feel. and I feel like it can remove more left over make up that I didn't get off from the make up remover. The make up remover that I'm using now is Bioderma's Micelle water for sensitive skin. Brilliant stuff.

Moisturiser:

Conventional method of skincare is to clean, tone, serum then moisturiser or some spot treatment, special treatment. But some times all these things can be too heavy for the skin to handle and also too rich for some type of skin like mine.

After some research,  Shiseido came out with a product I couldn't find the English name to these products but you can buy it from AdamBeauty. Click HERE

So this product is like a toner, but it replaces ALL of the other steps. So no need to tone your skin, no need to apply serum, no need extra moisturiser. This ONE product equals to many. The reason is because it contains moisturiser ingredients in a lotion texture so it is easily absorbed, and at the same time moisturises the face. It isn't expensive either about $15 USD.

It contains large amount of hyaluronic acid in two forms. one big size and a small size so both the surface of the skin and deep in the skin can be moisturised. It also contains Royal Jelly, which lets the skin heal and become supple over time.

It contains NO fragrance, No colouring, not sticky and easily absorbed. But it does contain alcohol. I'm not sure what form of alcohol, I can smell a bit of it when I'm using it but It NEVER irritated my skin like Clinique's Clarafying lotions did. It never dried out my skin, never made it red, stingy, burning.

There's two types, the pink series is just normal for moisture purposes. the blue series is for whitening. SO It contains stable form of Vitamin C. So there's two types of Formulation too. So White Caps for both series are light/refreshing formula for combination/normal skin. The Pink cap in pink series/ Blue cap in blue (whitening) series  are the rich formula for dry to SUPER dry skin.

Since I have combination skin I just use the white cap ones. So Far I've used two bottles of the blue whitening series. I don't really see any whitening effect, but the pigmentation from the allergic reaction is going away. so I think it is helping me in that section.

After two bottles , couple months of using this product, it really helped my skin to calm down, feel supple when I wake up in the morning, never feel dry any where on my face. help to lighten up the pigmentation on my face. Doesn't cause pimples, no allergic reaction. HEAVEN SENT!!! It is so convenient too, when you travel you just need to bring one bottle. The bottle is made from plastic so it's not heavy either and It won't break if you drop it.

I Highly highly recommend this product, I've tried many many products out there that claims to be calming, purely organic and BLAH BLAH BLAH.. but this is the one. I'm not going to change it from my skincare routine unless I find something better, which I highly double.

This is SELLING like crazy in JAPAN.... I can see why it is so popular.

If you have questions about this product feel free to leave comment or email me.

Have a great week.

[] Clarins Skin Illusion Foundation Review []~~~

Hey all ~~

Another Foundation Review. ~~~ been testing it out for a while now. thought I do the review since I am not that busy these days.

So I purchased the foundation from feelunique.com It was cheaper when I bought it about $34.00 AUD but now the price has increased for some reason.  any ways.

So at the back of the box it says:
Clarins Skin Illusion Foundation SPF10
A light-reflecting hydrating foundation that perfectly combines mineral and plant ingredients to create a naturally radiant complexion. The unique blend of ingredients continuously hydrates and protects the skin resulting in an incredibly comfortable, beautifully radiant and perfectly even complexion. Satin Finish - Medium Coverage. All skin types.

Non-Comedogenic. Dermatologist Tests. Oil Free.

This is what the packaging looks like. Classic Glass Bottle, with a Golden lid. comes with a pump for the ease of use. ( bonus points for having a pump). The colour I got is in 108 SAND.

This is what it looks like straight out from the bottle.

A bit spread out.

Blended in with the skin.

Ok Lets see how it shows up on face.
Here's my bare skin again (picture below), after moisturizer. lots of problems are you can see T__T
Picture taken under natural day light (in doors, not under direct sunlight)

This is what it looks like after 1 layer of foundation with no powder.
Thoughts:
The Foundation leave a satin finish on the skin. If I go under direct sunlight, when you look very very closely, you can see really really fine shimmer particles. but you can't detect it unless you look really hard for it. it certainly gives a natural radiant finish. You can set it with a powder and It still gives that radiant finish but without the oily look.

I would say this foundation can be light to medium coverage depending on how you apply it. It may be cover all the imperfections ( acne scar, sun spots, freckles) but it does cover large pores perfectly. I have large pores near my nose and cheek area close to the nose, it disappeared when I use this. So I would say it covers certain things but still allows your natural skin to shine through.

I have combination skin, in winter I'm combination dry. So I think this foundation is more suited towards Autumn or Winter for me. If you have dry skin think you will love it. I still need to set it with a powder or else I will get oily quicker. And I need to blot every 4-5 hours.

It is not really a long staying foundation. I would say may be 6 hours? but when I get home and take my make up off. There's still some foundation left on my face but most of it would've disappeared. That being said. I think this foundation is actually good for my skin. at the end of the day, my face looks more plumped and healthy, rather than dull and wrinkled as if all the water has been sucked out of it.

I don't think this foundation does well with flash photography...... it has SPF + fine shimmer particles. I think under natural light, it photographs really nice. but may be not more evening photography.

Also It has a fragrance smell. can't put my finger on what it is.   you can smell it when you are applying it but it kind of disappears once it is applied. It doesn't bother me, but it might bother some people to have fragrance in their foundation.

Likes:
- has a pump
- great colour selection
- really nice natural finish (never cakey looking)
- makes you look so radiant and fresh
- covers large pores
- actually good for your skin ( with beneficial ingredients)
- oil free
- easy to remove at end of the day.
- your skin feels smooth after applying

Dislikes:
- not long wearing
- unnecessary fragrance
- glass bottle, hard to travel with
- not enough coverage for those days you need coverage

Over all I like this foundation, go to a counter and ask for a sample, may be you will like it too.

Have a great weekend ~~~~

[] Bare Mineral Foundation/ Before & After + thoughts[]~~

 Hey all~~
Just wanted to do a further review of the Bare Minerals Original Foundation in Medium Beige, showing before and after pictures. So you can see how much coverage it does and what's the finish like.

So the only two things you need is a kabuki brush of your choice. I use Everyday Minerals kabuki brush from may be 2-3 years ago and it is still good after many many washes. never sheds. and it's soft as baby's skin. I honestly don't like the Bare Minerals brushes. they are scratchy and doesn't apply foundation evenly.

You could also use a flat top kabuki brush for a heavier coverage, but I find flat top a bit hard for an even distribution as it tend to pack alot product on the area when you first start to buff on your skin. So I personally like to use a dense kabuki brush.

Okay... lets have look at my skin bare under natural sunlight with no photo shop. no flash no nothing. As you can see, lots of sun spots, freckles, uneven skin tone. large pores. acne scar. and even scars from the recent allergic reaction to God knows what~~~~

T___T cry............................................. but never the less......

So here is is completely with bare minerals foundation in Medium Beige.
It covers most of the unevenness of the skin tone. Covers may be about 50-60% of the acne scars. It does a great job with the pores too.  So for one layer of this product you can achieve about light to medium coverage depending on how much product you use and the pressure you use when you buff it in.

The finish is semi matte I would say, the mica in this does gives you a more dewy glow look. which is a good thing if you want to cover some of the imperfections. So for a natural finish, I quite like it. It is also VERY to apply, may be like less than 3 minutes I'm done with my foundation. the only thing is it is not a long lasting foundation. If I have a busy day running around with no time to touch up. then I might rethink which foundation I'm going to use.

If I'm just going to some where for a short time, like Brunch with friends, Dinner with family or something I would prefer this. Plus it doesn't feel heavy, doesn't even feel like I'm wearing foundation.

One other thing I didn't like about this is that I wear glasses, so some of the foundation slip and slide near the bridge of my nose. but beside that I like this.

Try it out you might find you will like it too.

Bare Minerals Review/ Tasi Trip~~

 Hey all ~~
sorry that I have been Missing for 2 months. Been away at Tasmania for a trip and also busy organising a trip to Europe in June/July.

Any ways. My last post was a haul on Bare Minerals's Original  Foundation in Medium Beige. My skin had an allergic reaction to something I'm not quite sure what. but most probably the chopping and changing of skincare products too often. So I decided to stick to two product only. my good old Nameraka foaming cleanser, and Shiseido's toner/moisturiser in one. Will do review for that soon. Saved my skin.

So I was very hesitant to use foundation too, because I wasn't sure if it was foundation or what causing all these little bumps on my skin. So I looked into Mineral foundation. So I went and got myself the Bare Mineral Foundation. I also picked up the Bare Mineral's All-over face colour in Rose Radiance.

Left: Rose Radiance/ Right: Original Foundation in Medium Beige

At the shop I tried on the Bare Mineral's Matte foundation, but it felt so dry, and I was scared for it to go cakey, and also the colour is bit different from the original both in medium beige, the matte one shows up darker and yellower for some reason.

 Foundation Review
 Likes:
 - Great coverage, you can build your coverage, I like mine to cover my acne scars and what not. So I prefer a medium to full coverage. I buff in two layers and good to go. never look cakey.
- Gives a dewy look, so my face doesn't look dead matte. though might be a bit sparkly under direct sunlight. need to blot or else will look oily and shiny.
- The packaging is great. you can carry it with you and touch up with a little kabuki brush.
- Easily washes off. just use my foaming cleanser, comes right off.
- Doesn't cause allergic reaction. no response to bismyth oxichloride. so all good. you might need to watch out for this ingredient if you are allergic.
- Also can be used as a setting powder over liquid.

Dislikes:
- Messy application, powder can fly everywhere. very fine particle. Scared to breath it in. so I always hold my breath when applying this.
- Need to blot like every 3-4 hours, or else I get oily.
- I think it's a bit tad expensive. but compared to a liquid foundation. it's still ok.

Now lets look at the Rose Radiance.
I realized I have something very similar, Maybelline mineral powder blush in Soft Mauve.
but the maybelline one is a blush, where as this is a all over face colour. to give you that extra boost of radiance if your skin looks dull and as if you didn't get any sleep.

I think these two looks quite similar. except that Bare Mineral's Rose Radiance is obviously more shimmery, I tried applying it all over the face with a light hand.. it looks ok. nothing wowed. but as a blush it is really pretty. gives your cheeks a very nice rosy glow. I like it as a blush. quite a natural fresh look. not overly pigmented so fool proof.
